I got this to sit on the shoulder of the scarecrow that I set out and when I ordered it, I did not want a fake Raven the size of a canary, I wanted a large Raven and this is large. It may not be the best quality, as it is plastic, black feathers sticking into a styrofoam body, but it was great for what I wanted it for and it is pretty big.

I was pleasantly surprised how realistic these were. Assembly was simple enough. I used these as part of a scarecrow costume and got nothing but compliments.

The wings fell out after a couple of days. Wind & rain don’t really mix well with them to hold the wings in.

I really thought I could find could ways to use these things, but this was the only way I could pose this bird. The wires on the feet are really tiny, I was able to put them thru a stiff braided bamboo mat from ikea. Then I had to make sure the birds tail feathers were over the side of the table because they are completely rigid and point downward , otherwise the bird would face plant. The wings just stick into styrofoam, I completely broke the styrofoam out just trying to wrestle the other crow into a pose, so now it’s wings won’t stay in at all and it’s just wingless and worthless. It’s too bad, because they are not bad looking. There is just no way to pose them and it’s so easy to break the wings off permanently. The wings should be permanently attached and the tail feathers and wings should be flexible and the legs should be longer with feet that allow for free standing. The way they are now, I definitely don’t recommend. Not worth $30.

After reading many listings, I selected these for their realistic look and size. They arrived quickly and were well packaged. The wings, which come separately, are a small bit unstable (two pegs would be better than one) but we’re nothing that a little glue couldn’t fix. Installing them was a challenge. As another reviewer noted, they have very short wires attached to the feet. After several attempts to get them to stand, I used two sided Gorilla tape with the wire under the tape with the feet stuck to the top side — success! So satisfied that I ordered two more.

They look pretty real (I got the XL) so we will see what the hawk thinks, which is the job I bought them for. On each one, one wing replaced the stick easily but on the opposite side of each I had to use pliers to get those sticks out. I will be using extra strong glue to put the wings in the positions I want. The description says they are for the outside so I will go check them after the first rain. They look really cool so I am thinking of buying another pair to decorate Halloween.

Really wanted these to work!!!! Everything stated in reviews is unfortunately TRUE…. Plus one wing split in half😞😭There has to be a better option!!!!!!Buyer Beware!!!!!!!!
