It says non-replaceable battery "up to 3 years" . Is this right? After 2-3 years you bin it and buy again for the sake of a cheap button battery?

Yes that's correct as some of the slim items are sealed units with none replaceable batteries. However I don't know if the whole item would be replaced under the battery replacement scheme you can pay monthly for through the tile app. Which give replacement batteries for all your registered tiles. I am yet to find out if these will be replaced. All other batteries have been.
