I do the twenty minute preventive treatment every morning. In three months I have only experienced three migraines. Miraculous for me!Many migraines are caused by “leaky gut”, “hormone imbalances” or “triggers to the trigeminal nerve” ( for me these triggers were animal hair. Wood or cigarette smoke, dairy, nitrates, msg,…)Even though I have discerned my triggers over the years and try to limit exposure it is difficult to avoid all of the triggers all of the time. The Cefaly has enabled me to live a normal life and not experience a migraine when exposed to a “trigger”I highly recommend giving it a try!It is not painless, for me the first week was the worst, it felt like electrified bee stings were wrapping around my head, but my migraines were going away so I kept at it. Now daily use is just 20 minutes and only the last ten are somewhat uncomfortable, but nothing like the initial calming down of the overstimulated trigeminal nerve.I would also agree with the criticisms that the bright light on the front should be “remodeled” on the next version. Not a big deal in daylight, but in the dark it look like emergency vehicles are in the room! Still, this is worth a try if your migraines are trigeminal nerve related. ### ⭐ very painful/too intense *by M***N on August 23, 2023* I bought this costly device, because it was advertised to really have a non drug treatment for the chronic migraines I have been having for over two years. I tried it with the help of physical therapist, who is very knowledgeable working with electrodes, We followed the directions perfectly and immediately the pain it caused was extremely painful, i felt like i was being injected with a 100 needles. No exaggeration, it was worse than have an extreme migraine. The real problem there was not a way to turn it down, only up. I wanted to return it immediately. When i went to Amazon site for making a return, I couldn't do it !! Because it was sold by another seller not Amazon. I had no recourse how to get my money back. I believe that Amazon needs to take some responsibility. I have been buying from Amazon a lot for at least twenty plus years. My physical therapist used to work for Amazon, dealing with unhappy customers. (we both live in Costa Rica) He is working for them again part time in a higher position. He told me that owner of Amazon, Jeff Bezospolicy was that no matter what the problem a customer had, the customer was ALWAYS RIGHT! The sales people were told to do anything to be sure that, the customer was satisfied. Even if it was sold to me by a different seller, it was on Amazon Site. I get migraines in my left forehead region that occasionally goes into my eye. It feels great, is not painful and relaxes me when I use it. I use it right when I feel the migraine coming and so far it’s been successful at aborting the migraine. It does not work well if the migraine is 10/10 pain, you need to catch it before it gets severe.
