Not to be used as Highlighter
These grease pencils are just what you need. They operate like they should, however, please note that the green was too dark to use as a highlighter if you are looking for a highlighter order yellow. Good quality and easily sharpened by unwrapping.

Write on anything, and everything!
I work for an airline and we have to write on paper items that do not absorb ink well, as well as manual baggage tags that are made out of a plastic material. Often we have to write on normal paperwork as well. These work well as they can be used on all of these items. They do not smudge unless your trying to, unlock markers that are wet and get all over. So for marking they are great. Obviously not what you'd want to use for writing a long letter or something, but for multi-surface, these are great. If you've never used a China Marker you're in for a treat.

Works for what I use them for
I use these to mark on bowling balls and it works fine… No complaints…

writes worse than other wax/grease pencils
I wanted to use these on laminated paper, I already had a bunch of black wax pencils that worked great and wanted these for color. In comparison these don't write very well. The other wax pencils I have leave a nice dark line, these leave streaky lines that require multiple tries to get anything visible. You might think its down to the color but in reality even the black pencils in this product are much worse than the other ones I have.

Timeless Product
There is a reason these China Markers are still around - they are great, sturdy, easy to use even - for a child - no pencil sharpeners!

Avoid.
These markers are just perfect for the dull, crappy, uncontrasted, undefined and low pigmented areas of your mess-terpiece. Children crayons have better quality than these ones. Avoid.

Works great in warmer temperatures, not so good at 78 F.
These seem to be designed for use mostly outdoors or in warmer factory settings. Great on canvas and other rough surfaces, not bad on cold metal, but much better if it's warmer than "room temperature".Them being made of wax, this isn't surprising. I suspect they'd be almost useless in really cold temps.Still a good product, just be aware they work much better in warm climates.

Good old fashioned Carpenter's Wax Pencils
The multicolour pack is great. Item arrived as described, quickly and well packged. The colours are vibrant (mostly not the white or pink.....though).

Works on freezer paper
I bought these to mark the items I'm wrapping in freezer paper. Other pens run, bead or fade. Dare I say, I remember the butchers marking meats at the grocery stores in the last century -LOL! I also bought them to outline paper on some furniture that I'm doing a slipcover for. Good value & I have enough to last a lifetime-- I think ! Highly recommend.

Garbage
Didn't stay well, comes off with water, didn't write well and the pen melts in the casing

Not really "grease"
I've had old school grease pencils before, they write on anything with a heavy line. These are more like wax and are very selective what they'll write one. They'll do what I need but for sure would not buy again.
