Neither of my 3 computers (all windows 11 PC's) recognized this as a device. As such the necessary drivers aren't available or recognized to update, making this cord useless. Tried "support" but theres no mention of the drivers in there. Would be nice if there was a link somewhere on the product page or maybe, in the support section, to download the necessary drivers. Tl;dr spend a little more and get a legit cord from a legit company.

Not compatible with my Windows 7 Laptop as stated.Vendor did issue a full refund which is much appreciated!

I had to install the driver, then it worked
Cliff's Notes version:If it doesn't automatically prompt you to install the driver, then the adapter will appear as a USB drive. Go to that drive in Windows Explorer and install the driver that is there.-----------------------------------------I could subtract a star for the instructions not being clear, but I'm pretty happy at this point. It did not automatically prompt me to install the driver on my computer and I wasted a lot of time trying it on another computer and searching the internet for troubleshooting help.I finally went back to the item page on Amazon to see if I missed some clue that should have let me know it was not compatible. Then I found the "How to use" note that said to open the adapter as a flash drive in Explorer and install the driver.I noticed that none of the 1-Star ratings mentioned actually following instructions to install the driver. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
