Let's explore Peru, Kids!: Mom's Choice Award Winner (Let's explore the world, Kids!)

Sorry but this is not worth the title. I am from Peru, I have travelled to Machu Picchu and also to many countries around the world so I was excited to buy a travel book about Peru for my kids but I was very disappointed with this one.It does not have a good narrative flow and the pictures are very bad.Did the author really make it from Lima to Cuzco on a bus? That would be a long and difficult trip. Most people fly to Cuzco.The author should be more specific about clay pots, wall decorations, dance and food which are typical of the area she visited not of all of Peru which has a huge variety of food music traditions art and culture specific to each region, e.g. coast, mountains, jungle.

I always wanted to take my kids to Peru, but I haven't gotten a chance yet, so I got this book and it totally does justice to the beautiful country. It shows kids the various sites in form of pictures and explains the culture of Peru through detailed explanation. Someday I will take my kids to Peru and I am sure they will remember many details about the country through this book. It is simple and easy to understand, but at the same time covers many aspects of the Peruvian culture.
