Seems like this contains kosher parve.. how is it classified as vegan. what exactly is the kosher parve derived from ? eggs or fish etc. ?

Kosher is not an ingredient. Kosher describes products that adhere to Jewish dietary laws. Pareve is a term that means that the product does not contain meat or dairy components. There are many different aspects to the laws of keeping kosher, but one of the prohibitions is mixing milk and meat. One of the sources for this is the rabbinic interpretation of a phrase at the end of two biblical verses, Exodus 23:19 and Deuteronomy 14:21, where it is stated, 'do not boil a kid in its mothers milk.' This is interpreted as not cooking milk and meat together and, by extension, combining milk and meat products together, or even eating them at the same meal. The 'kosher pareve' designation indicates that the product itself is kosher (adhere's to Jewish dietary laws) and is pareve (contains neither milk or meat products). For someone who observes Jewish dietary laws it me gives them the heads up hat the product is suitable for them to eat and can be eaten or prepared with either dairy or meat products. What are the ingredients? I don't see them listed anywhere.

To the person who commented on Carrageenan listed as a ingredient on the package. I have purchased this Bakol Jel variety pack and there is NO Carrageenan in the ingredient list of my boxes!! And it is DEGRADED Carrageenan that is harmful. Carrageenan is actually from Seaweed.

I love this product, but how do I use the unflavored package? Do I make it with fruit juice instead of water and what juices work best?

Yes, follow the directions but use juice instead of water. The manufacturer says don't use pineapple or lemon juice because it'll keep it from jelling properly, but just about anything else should work.

Does this contain MSG?

Probably. "Natural flavor" and "citric acid" often contain MfG (the dangerous version of MSG) or produce MfG during processing. For more info and TRUTH about MfG/MSG, see: truth in labeling dot org (no spaces, and change out the "dot").

Expensive, but good vegan substitute for jello

I figured my 3 year old would love jello, but I wanted to be able to eat it with her, and I’m vegetarian and also can’t stand the taste of artificial sweeteners. This is the only brand I could find that fit the bill. I haven’t eaten jello since I was a kid, but this taste like I remember it, and my kid loves it, so it was a worthwhile purchase. Good texture and all the flavors are fine. Will get it again from time to time, but at this price, it’s going to only be a “sometime” treat.

Pretty good

The strawberry, lemon flavors were right on. The cherry not so much. It does set up fast. Not sure why include the clear, no flavor gelatin. Haven't found a recipe that I like that would use that.

I mean, it's...jello~ish I guess?

Full disclosure: I've been a vegetarian for longer than a lot of people have been alive but I had to get a medical thing where one of the few things I could "eat" was jello. So, I found this and got SO excited thinking I would have something good and semi-substantial. I made it according to the instructions and I made a bunch of it in preparation. Excited. So, so excited. It was more runny than expected but, no worries. Tried it and thought "wow, this is super gross! Maybe it's just what jello tastes like? It's been 3 decades after all." My husband, not veggie, let me know that I'm not crazy and that it's just that gross. Waste of money, energy, and time. Threw it out and just drank broth through most of it so...hurray? Tried to pawn the unused boxes off on everyone, and, huge shock, no one wanted them.
