Resolved boiler EA code issue
For quite a while the boiler had started to produce EA codes when it was trying to fire up. Pushing the reset button on the boiler normally resolved it. At a service the engineer commented the electrodes were quite worn. He tried to clean them, and while it helped for a few months the issue soon returned. It got to the point resetting the boiler didn't work. Replacing the part has completed resolved the issue. In the attached picture you can see how corroded and worn one of the electrodes was. This part is not expensive and took the heating engineer only a few minutes to replace it.
