Perfect journal/sketchbook. I wanted a sketchbook that I could take anywhere and have it hold up to daily abuse. I’ve been using for 3 months and it is holding up great. Still looks like new. The paper is a nice texture for sketching but not so ruff that writing is impaired. Leather seems to be of good quality but I’m no expert.

Impressed a friend with this gift and bought a fancy pen to gift at same time - which he appreciated. Haven’t heard back about his experience but I think I got credit for a solid, thoughtful gift. I remember this coming in a cheap plastic cover but it’s easy to take off before gifting and out of plastic the journal looks great!

i was really happier than expected with my journal. i wanted a vintage look with a ubran/modern touch. i didnt want one with that weird handmade paper . its very nice. wish they had it in a bigger and thicker size

This is a beautiful journal. The straps form a lovely closure look and the paper is good quality. This is a gift for a dear friend who has recently started journaling. A great gift idea.

My daughter gave this to her boyfriend as a travel journal. He loves to write and doodle so it was perfect! And it has a masculine, “Indiana Jones” kind of look, which he loved. I’m guessing it was sturdy-he had it all over on a three week trip. And the size was great for carrying around in his backpack.

This journal is sick. I feel like an authentic adventurer. It has become my pinnacle journal, only home to my best idea. Everything else goes in a weak regular journal

Well bound, good design for sketching, seems like it would allow for the book to expand if you are one to paste or tape things into your travel journals, like myself. Thin paper. I wouldn't use this for heavy sketching or marker use. But light pencil sketches I think it would work well. :)
