KCHEXSnap in Clips for 1/2" PEX Tubing (130/bag)

Worked perfectly. I got these to try as an alternative to the standard black plastic PEX hangers that you nail in. These have a couple of big advantages. With a single screw (#8, 1 1/2 inch, Pan-head sheet metal screw) in the center, they pivot symmetrically in all direction. That is, you can hang these first and when you then run the PEX, you simply snap it in. The PEX insertion angle is irrelevant as these can pivot to meet the PEX at whatever angle it is brought in. I was skeptical about the snap-in, or hold strength. It is much better than I expected. And these are very tough. I broke zero in my application. In addition, when you use screws you don't need the room to swing a hammer, and if you placed it in the wrong spot you can move it easily without the hassle of trying to extract a stubborn ring-shank nail. These are not however a silver bullet. At some bends where there was a lot of pull-out stress on the hanger, I reverted to the more traditional black brackets but replaced the nail with the same screw I mentioned earlier, but with the thinner #6 version.I will buy these again and I would recommend to a friend ... in fact I already did.

Doesn't replace talons nor suspension clamps, but it's effective in tight places, and for those pipes that need to be repositioned constantly. Snaps into place. Had only 1 break from neglect.

Works good

I had been looking for something to 'space the pipes' off the joists and a screw mount design instead of hammering in a clamp, especially in tight spaces. These work very well and have the added advantage of snapping pipes in place so you can work with them easier. Also, handy for plumbing rework. The snap action could be a little stronger or better yet, a design change to allow a ty-wrap. I had to 'wire' down some of my more stubborn pipes that came out of a 50ft coil.
