Pros and cons
I've been looking at this bible for a while, but I don't like to buy unless I've first played with it. I got to mess with one of these at a Mardel a few days ago. Wow, I almost bought it on the spot. I've been trying to find a Bible that has that 'feel'; anyone in ministry knows what I'm talking about. This Bible has it. The reason I didn't buy it is that Mardel doesn't sell enough to carry more than one and they only had a Black one, I wanted the Navy. I ordered it as soon as I got home. It's time for the pros and cons.ProsThe quality of the calfskin binding is impecable. There is not another Bible on the market that can compare. You have to feel it to understand. The quality of the paper is by far the best. My highlighters and pens do not bleed through and there is no ghosting. The quality of the print is top notch. I have many Bibles that the print is deep and bold on one page but the next it's too light to read. Plus the font size is really good looks to be about 11pts.Double ribbon markers. Every other Bible I own has just one or none the two make a world of difference in the pulpit and in study. The translation is NASB and it is, in my opinion, the best out there. The size of the margins is amazing. I've always been frustrated because I never had enough room, this Bible fixes that.ConsThe paper is wrinkled in a few spots. It isn't too bad mainly on the inside margin and it doesn't impede the text. There aren't any red letters. This is something I love to have in a Bible, I almost didn't buy this one because of the lack of red.The ribbon markers are short. The could have given at least another 1/2 inch. The inside margin is impossible to write in and there is no margin between the two text columns. So it can be difficult to write next to certain scripture on the inside. My biggest complaint is for the 6 months I spent talking myself into buying this is that I was given the impression that Dr. Charles Stanley had some study notes in it. Being more of a study Bible. With InTouch ministries and Dr. Charles Stanley's name on it that's the assumption I got and there was no disclaimer. But I'm going to offset the complaint by saying I haven't missed it. I love having a quality Bible that doesn't interpret the scripture for me. Because of this Bible I've spent more time with God letting Him reveal Himself through the scripture, rather than through MacArthur, Beers and Ryrie.John 14.26 NASB"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you."I love this Bible and I enjoy it. If you want a high quality Bible for you to write your own unique study Bible in, this is the Bible. If you want a study Bible do not buy this one, it's no study Bible.

The best bible I have ever owned.
The NASB In Touch Ministries Wide Margin Bible is, by far, the preeminent bible in today's market. It is one of the highest quality bibles that the Lockwood Foundation / Foundation Publications has published, to date.I bought the blue calf skin edition. This is exactly the same bible that Dr Charles Stanley uses in his sermons at First Baptist Church in Atlanta. You can see these sermons (and the bible) in the In Touch Ministries website. The leather is top quality and is buttery soft to the touch. The authentic smell of the leather is more like "pleasing aroma". It sits in your hands like a second skin. The paper used in this edition is the best quality bible paper I have seen. It is very white, extremely silky to the touch and there is very little 'ghosting' and ink bleed. I just wish all top quality bibles would use this paper.Even the sounds that the bible/pages make when you turn the pages is unique. The binding is Smyth Sewn and top class. Some of the more reputable bibles published out of the UK have yet to match the paper used in the NASB In Touch Ministries Wide Margin Bible. You will know what I mean when you purchase one. It is amazing. Please note that there are no cross references in this Bible. So building your own references as part of your on-going work in gaining knowledge and wisdom in His Ways will be a bit of work, but a lot of fun and fulfillment. It certainly keeps me much more alert when I study the Word. With your personal input and notes, this Bible will become 'one of a kind' unique to you.I have several bibles (all top quality leather). But my NASB In Touch Ministries wide margin bible is my main bible in nourishing and indulging myself with the Word of God. I'm sure that it will last me a life time and I am thinking about buying another one because the one I am using now is used for note-taking and highlighting (it took me several days to muster the courage to write on the pages. The paper is heavenly and didn't want to write on it). I would like to have another one that I will use just for the pure pleasure of reading. No pens or highlighters.Foundation Publications has seriously raised the bar with the NASB In Touch Ministries Wide Margin Bible.I just wish there was an ESV bible that is of the same quality, have the same paper, feel and craftsmanship.Crossway does have great ESV bibles. But the choice of paper in some of the editions could be better.I highly recommend this Bible to those who a looking for a Bible that looks great, does not compromise on quality, has good space for note-taking and that will last for many many years.Soli Deo Gloria.Paul (Seoul, Korea)

NASB In Touch Ministries Wide Margin
I got the Bible today and immediately got on Amazon to return it and have another one sent to me. There were tiny white particles jammed in the leather in the front of the Bible. Inside the Bible were hideous crinkles in some of the pages. Before my purchase I read other reviews stating the same problem (crinkled pages.) For the price I expect perfect quality. When it's all said and done (hopefully this will be the final return) I am sure I will be very happy with the Bible. A little disappointed, I noticed that some textual variants were noted and others weren't, example: Mark 16:9-20 is noted to be omitted by the earliest mss, while John 7:53-8:11 is not noted, it is bracketed, but without note, to where the passage in Mark is both bracketed and noted. However, this is a note-takers Bible so I plan to get the pen out and notate these variants myself. I was very happy with the thickness of the paper, the quality of the leather, and the wide-margins. Day two: I got the exchange today and am very pleased. The particles jammed in the leather of the first one are not there. The pages still have some minor crinkle, but nothing near as bad as the first one. I highly recommend this Bible, best one I've ever seen.

Tiny Print
Of course it's the Bible so it's great. But I wanted an NASB copy as it's a literal translation. But the print is so tiny it is almost impossible to read. Bear in mind all other copies of Bibles I own are about 1200 pages and even they have smallish print. This is 800! pages long so you can imagine how small the print is. Disappointed although it was only £3.99 so not that bothered. Would love a large print version but can't trust Amazon to inform me correctly. Help!

I would review it, but...
...it never arrived, however I do have a Black edition and I can tell you that this Bible is one awesome Bible to have! These are as rare and hard to find as you can get so If you get the chance to have one, take it because you will not regret having one in your possession.
