Mass Effect: Turian Cruiser Ship Replica

A fine specimen of a Turian Cruiser from Mass Effect that would likely make most Mass Effect fans happy. Its detail is immaculate and looks nearly identical to the respective virtual spacecraft.So, why only four stars? - the scale of this entire model series from Dark Horse, despite it being true that the claim was never made that they'd be to scale, is all over the place. I can guarantee most (if not all) ME fans are interested in these models due to their virtual counterparts one might collect in-game, so it would be nice if they'd at least compare to that standard.As others have said, this product would be great for any 'diehard' ME fan, but any such fan would certainly know the difference between a frigate, cruiser, and dreadnought. This lack of respect of the canon is painfully seen in the rest of this model series. For instance, you might compare this product to the 6" SR-1/SR-2 Frigates, which are supposed to be significantly smaller in-game, and yet despite them technically being the same measured size, the Cruiser actually looks smaller to the naked eye. Or you could compare any of these 6" models to the 9"(!) Alliance Cruiser, which should at least be comparable in size to this Turian Cruiser. I realize exact ratios are improbable (if not impossible), but to not follow any standard whatsoever makes this ME fan quite disappointed...yet still a forgivable offence, as there appears to be little standard held up in this case concerning the virtual models...Again, a great 1-time purchase for the odd fan, but possibly infuriating for a collector.

Excellent representation of the ship from the game. Reasonable level of detail, and the ship is an excellent addition to the Dark Horse series of Mass Effect miniatures.I agree with others that not only are the models not in scale with each other, it might have been nice if they were similar sizes. As a display piece that doesn't bother me as much as it does some. I was pleased that the paint and the finish were among the best of the set - far superior to the Alliance version of the Normandy SR-2, for example.

I love the material, aesthetics and paint job of this figure and it looks great on my work desk however I, like other's, am a little disappointed in it's size. To try to give a future buyer an idea of the ship's dimensions I measured the model I received and listed it below. I've always thought of the turian cruisers to be among the bigger ships in the Mass Effect universe so I was of course a little disappointed at the size of this but the detail and feel of the ship were as good as they could possibly be. Definitely q must have for collectors.

Easily the best Mass Effect model Dark Horse has made so far. Unlike the other ones, the paint job isn't sloppy and parts of it are actually metal as well! Really pleased with this model. I just wish the Alliance fighter and the Normandy were done just as well. Highly recommend.
