TuthillFR112 Rot HD Pump,NOZ SPT

Pump has a jerky feel to it similar to the cheap pump I was replacing. maybe it will smooth out. Time will tell. Doesn't feel anything like the older Tuthill pump I've been using for over twenty years.

This high capacity pump is heavy, solid and really moves the fuel! 100 turns for 10 gallons! I used it on a 5-gallon jug (the kind use in auto racing) and was able to pump out the gas quicker than pouring the gas directly from the upended jug into the tank. A total winner.Four stars, not five, only because the metal work is so raw there are razor sharp edges all over -- in the threads, on the top. I got a couple of cuts in my hands just handling it. I'm going to have to take a file to it to make it more human-friendly.

This pump is used for moving gasoline from 5 gallon tanks to my boat tank while the boat is docked. I built a pump rack to stabilize the pump while in use. All works fine but the small amount of fuel coming out of the vacuum breaker is annoying.

Works very well. Pump is reversible, however it must be taken apart to so. Seems tough and hopefully last for many years.

I just got mine. I can't pump anything without squirting out of both holes of the Vacuum Breaker. I have to keep my fingers to cover the holes while pumping.

I originally purchased the Moeller Rotary Pump  Moeller Rotory Pump for Gas Walkers  to go with my 29g Gas Walker. I tried 2 of the Moeller pumps and both failed (stopped turning after 1 use). They are cheaply made with lots of plastic. Amazon refunded my money on the Moeller and I decided to try the Tuthill pump. It is very well made in America, sturdy, metal construction, very nice fit and finish. This pump was nearly the same price as the Moeller although I did have to pay freight. Believe me, it was well worth it. If you get a Gas Walker, save yourself some grief and get the Tuthill pump. As usual, Amazon handled all transactions quickly and professionally.

I bought this pump because I have finally had enough of the new safety gas cans that leak all over you and take forever to pour 5 gallons. So far, I am very pleased with this pump. It does what it is supposed to do. It appears to be of high quality.It is MADE IN USA. I like this pump so much I purchased a second one after using it. I use one for gasoline and the other for diesel fuel. This pump is the way to go, if you need to fuel power equipment frequently.
