Excellent EDC knife
This is a large, hefty knife with a solid and sharp blade. Positive lock-up, good pocket clip. The frame/scales are very light and thin knife overall. It should last me a long time. I haven't used it long enough to comment on blade retention, but it should be good due to the quality of the steel.

If you're looking for a solid pocket knife, just get it
The lock on this thing is pretty unique and very solid, I'd trust it to do just about anything besides heavy duty prying (which, frankly, I wouldn't trust ANY folding knife to handle). Clearly has the quality heat treat Cold Steel is known for, it's holding up much better than a poorly heat treated S35VN blade I had been using the year prior. I've never been picky with knife grip, I'm sure the hole in middle would be enough to get some knife snobs to call the grip unusable, but I don't mind it and it has never compromised the function of the knife at all. It's a 3.5 inch blade and it'll feel like that in your pocket, anything larger would be overkill for a pocket knife. The size and action mean, at least in the US, it's very widely legal to carry. The price on this thing fluctuates wildly depending on where you buy it and when - I wouldn't pay more than $100 for this knife because, at the end of the day, it's just a pocket knife with very well treated (but still not premium) steel, it's not a leatherman or a limited run or made of premium materials so spending over $100 on this isn't really justified in my mind. At the same time, paying less than $100 for a knife that (imo) feels good, is well made, is a great size, and has a cool AND reliable mechanism almost feels like a steal. I wouldn't be singing this thing's praises if it were made like most other knives in its price range, coming out of the box with a bit of wiggle and a poorly treated steel that won't last. I also might not be so impressed by this knife if other manufacturers actually did their jobs for this range correctly and produced knives around this price with even cheap steels shining given good heat treatment and the locks actually holding well. In an ideal world, this would be a very very average knife. In reality, this is the most ideal knife I've ever found at this price point

Good knife, very sharp
Cold Steel knives are extremely well-made and built to last. The blade comes razor sharp out of the box, holds an edge well, and feels tough. The handle provides a secure, comfortable grip. Whether for everyday carry, outdoor use, or utility tasks, this knife performs reliably and feels like great value for the price. Solid, dependable, and my daily carry.

Great knife overall
Big, heavy, and very sharp. Designed to take a beating. The scorpion lock is unique and very secure, and I think the lock bar itself is made of aluminum (or some other metal). I'm not a fan of the blade finish, which is slippery, smooth, and a major fingerprint magnet, but the grind and shape of the blade are nice and the AUS-10A has not given me any issues so far. The blade is very thick which makes it good for enduring heavy duty tasks, but it won't be as good at slicing as a thinner blade. The large Griv-Ex handle is grippy but feels cheap vs other materials such as G-10.

This lock is not a gimmick and this blade is awesome!
The lock feature is really awesome for opening one handed with either hand. I am a landscaper so I use this for all types of cutting and slicing applications and this is razor sharp straight out of the box. It feels great in my large hands. The handle texture feels awesome in my palm. It also has nice grip. It is a bit heavy in the pocket but it is so cool and practical that I don’t mind it’s weight. I have played with Benchmade axis lock and this is more fun to open one handed and it looks so much cooler. I see a few reviews about the lock mechanism being a bit sharp or hard to open with your hand. If you are a tough human with strong hands and callus you won’t have a problem!

Great Knife, Poor Quality Control
Out of the box, this was the Sharpest Knife, I’ve ever bought online! Love the Scorpion Lock! This issue is I’ve cut the tip of my right pointer finger 4 times, using that finger and my thumb to disengage the Scorpion Lock, the plastic part on the bottom of the side of the lever you lift to disengage the lock is super sharp! So, when the tip of my finger slides along the edge while disengaging the lock, I get cut… Like a Bad paper cut, that bleeds and bleeds. 🙄😎 Other than that…which is an issue, could be a great, great knife! I’m not sure if I’m going to return it or just sand it down, take edge off the plastic

Nice knife, great choice
This is a little stiff opening and closing. Nice sturdy feel to it. It was a little bigger than I expected. Once I got it loosened up, and carried it a few days. , I fell in like with it. I thought about the scorpion lock and how it works. I feel it's the safest lock yet. So with feel, the sturdy make up and safest lock I see on the market so far great knife. I would like to see a liter weight, a bit smaller. For wearing shorts or when I'm not at work.
