Review: Works well for semi-hydro, good value for money - These work well for semi-hydro setup. The included wick rope is helpful. All the holes increase air flow to the roots. I'm using PON which is very annoyingly small, but this basket holds it in perfectly well without needing additional mesh so I'll be buying more of these in different sizes for my alocasias.
