Performance without the hefty price-tag
Light, confortable and durable would be the highs of this headset. Not so spectacular on the noise cancelling department but gets the job done. The no batteries required is a plus in the long run.

Best ANR headset without batteries
As expected, the ANR works brilliantly in the Airbus A-320 flight deck. The usual fatigue due noise is definitely reduced by around 50% average. Worth the price. Superb built quality, as expected out of any Telex product.

Bad Connector Pin?
The headset seemed to work fine in ANR mode with a reasonable amount of noise canceling for an Airbus. Initially I was pleased, But after about an hour, the microphone seemed to stop working. I switched headsets in the middle of the flight with a supplied pair in the cockpit to finish the flight. I tried to test them when I got on the ground with the ground crew and they could hear me just fine, but I could not hear my transmission going out nor hear myself on inter-phone. Initially I could hear myself on inter-phone and going out on VHF, the sound dropped off completely in flight. On the ground, if I cranked up the inter-phone, I could barely hear myself through the headset but I could hear the other pilot and hear VHF chatter. I believe the connector pin was faulty. Sending them back after one use. I'll try a replacement set and follow up to this post after I try the new set out.Update 1 week later: I purchased another headset from another seller and it appears to work fine. I think the issue on the first set was the connector pin. This replacement headset works as advertised. The ANR mode gives just a bit of noise reduction. Not even close to a Bose or a David Clark in comparison, but for the price it works just fine in the Airbus. They are light-weight and take up less room in the pro bag than the Bose or D.C. models. You'll need to buy an adapter for the 2-pin plug-in aircraft.
