Good deal.
It does what it's supposed to.

They do what they are supposed to do but sadly not any easier to use than aluminum foil.
I don't love these crust shields but, at least they are usable. Hey are flimsy which helps make them easier to fit around your pie, but they just sit there, no amount of fussing will get them to feel like they are securely affixed to your pie. I guess you really don't need them to fit perfectly, but just be there on top to keep the heat from directly cooking the piecrust. Hard to add on to an already hot pie without my fingers getting a little burned, but what are you going to do. They do not interlock just kind of lay on top of each other as you lay them around the pie edge. They can be sharp, so take care when using or cleaning. They will bend really easily, this just beans you can bend them back to almost original shape, but they also feel like they can tear if they get folded enough. At least i don't feel like I'm wasitng aluminum foil...

Pieces keep falling off - the domino effect
I reserve 0 to 1 star reviews for rare occasions. This is one of them. I also cannot believe this item I bought for $5.99 is now $25.99. Please do not be fooled if the price is still this high. I thought it a bad waste of money even at $5.99. It is NOT strong metal as stated in the description. I've enjoyed some Fox Run products before that were well priced for their value, but this is definitely not one of them.It is flimsy, barely more than a normal cheap aluminum pie plate so it will be damaged easily in storing, it does not hold onto the pie sides at all (mine was 9 inch from a normal Tenderflake crust so nothing fancy), you are scrambling to make 2 pieces hold there while attempting to add a third or fourth but they keep pushing each other off the plate the moment you think you've got the right way to do it. Overlapping, not overlapping, bending slightly, adding a 5th one, nothing worked. All that while being worried your pie is losing heat... Notice the cut in the middle of each piece. I tried to make it fit by fiddling with that but, again, to no avail. After 5 minutes trying to make ALL the pieces stay put, I took out some good old aluminum paper, in less than 30 secs it was ready to go back in the oven. I had bought this to be environmentally friendly. I hope they recycle them! I tried further when the pie was cool, and with a glass plate. Again no luck.
