Guide is very helpful
I bought the protocol, guide book and I got the online course. I'd say you really just need the guide book and the protocol. The course was double the price of these and I found it more useful to have everything in writing, it's self-explanatory as long as you have a background in ABA.

Bought this book for class but think I will use it in my career
I bought this textbook for my graduate certification in Positive Behavior Support and it came exactly as described. The text was informative, and the protocol is set up in an easy-to-understand way. This is something I believe I will be using when I start doing assessments on clients with behavioral issues. It allows you to gather information and set it up in a way that is relatively easy for even someone without behavioral health training to grasp.

The VB-MAPP is fantastic!
We really have come to embrace the VB-MAPP. The Ages associated with the Levels helps teachers and parents grasp where their children are developmentally. The Barriers section is also very useful in terms of helping educators focus on the most urgent needs and helping parents understand what stands in the way of rapid growth. Really well thought out!

excellent assessment tool
I consult for families of young children with various developmental delays and disabilities, and I have found that using the VB-MAPP has helped me to create the most effective and relevant program in terms of teaching these children skills that will replace challenging behaviors, which are often the result of these skill deficits. EXCELLENT assessment!

Love the VB-MAPP!!!
I love this product! The guide outlines IEP goals based on the results in the student protocol. I use it with all of my students. It is not nearly as time consuming as the ABLLS-R. It is easy to navigate, understand and explain student progress.
