PS4 Review
If you're reading this as a fellow PS4 owner, then you are facing similar problems I did with having only 2 USB ports. I needed ports for my external hard drive, controller/motion wands for charging, as well as the PSVR.I purchased this, and the product is as shown. It's very very light weight, and fits in the palm of your hand, so it's not bulky by any means. But the lack of weight can have it easily move around, which isn't a deal breaker for me.My 1st night using the product was a failure. Put my PS4 into rest mode, and the device was plugged into the 1st USB port. My controller did not charge, and awaking the next day had me believing it was defective. But I failed to realize that apparently there is a difference between the PS4 USB ports. Last night I plugged the device into the 2nd USB port on the PS4, and I awoke to find it worked flawlessly and as expected. I don't know why it would shut the device down when I've always been using the 1st port with just the cable for charging in rest mode, but it did. So be sure you use the 2nd USB port for this hub device.I now use the 1st PS USB port for my hard drive. Another review stated they had to turn the PSVR on before their PS4, but I literally just turned on my headset and could see my home page just fine while my PS4 was already on. However, if you encounter an issue, I would suggest turning on the PSVR head set 1st.So, as of now, I'm quite happy with this device. My external hard drive is connected to the PS4 directly as I perfer, and the product hub is in port #2. I have my cable to charge my controller, and two more slots for the motion wands, and finally the last spot has my VR connection. But as with any product, from anywhere, you could be unlucky and obtain a faulty one. But if it's not defective because of manufacturing, it definitely works like us PS4 users need.As for X Box, or PC, I can't comment, but I don't see why it wouldn't work any differently to our fellow brethren.

Excellent solution for the PS4 usb issue.
I bought this to use with my PS4 PRO. I plug my external drive into the left USB port of the console and the usb hub into the right USB port of the console. I have the turtlebeach 800 wireless headset plugged into the USB port on the back of the console. I have my G29 steering wheel, external cooling fan, and wireless controller plugged into the hub. I have no issues with my headsets or charging the controller and the G29 works great. Other people have complained about charge issues but I have my ports set to be powered while the console is in rest mode. This is one of the beat buys I’ve made for my PS4.

Lasted 10 months before issues.
USB hub worked great for a few months. It started loosing power and I found that the the wiring had pulled loose from the usb plug internally. If I would wiggle the wire at the connection it would work. If the usb covering was something other than flexible plastic/rubber, gravity wouldn’t have took its toll.

Not what I needed.
I purchased this to fix a problem with the PS4: not enough USB ports. With PSVR, an external hard drive, and wireless headset, the 2 ports Sony provides are not adequate. This hub has trouble with the PlayStation Gold headset: the audio will frequently cut out randomly, and just as randomly return. This could potentially be a problem with USB 3.0 in general (I have heard rumors of wireless interference, but nothing concrete).I give this product 3 stars (instead of 1) because other than the headset issue, it seemed to work fine (returned quickly, as not what I needed), but if it’s labeled for PS4, I expect at least functionality with official first party products. (Why else would I need a hub “designed” for PS4, if not to use products on the system—I can charge anywhere!)

A Must Have Accessory
I needed a new USB hub to replace an old defective one that somehow distruped the Bluetooth signal from my headphones to PS4. Either way I got that done and I recieverd this hub 3 days after ordering. I'm glad to say I don't have the Bluetooth signal issue anymore and each port does appear to be a true 3.0 USB port. I can charge multiple devices at the same time and plug in accessories like a keyboard and mouse with barely any latancy. I recommend this to anyone tired of the lack of ports on the PS4.

Good enough
I needed more ports for my PS4 (controller, hard drive, and head set) and this was closest thing I could find to being satisfactory. I don't know how long it will last but everything works-- and charges! The drawback is that the connection on my gold wireless headset suffers; it limits the range. I just got tired of looking I guess. The real culprit here is Sony: making such an "advanced" console with only 2 usb ports.

Durability
The product worked well but has developed an issue after a year and a half were it has become weak at the connection to the USB port. It may have been the devices attached when connected to the PS4 although at the most there were only two connections but just sharing as it is something of which to be aware. I replaced it with another that fits snugly into the slot and will see what happens. Overall though, it was good while it lasted, although I also found the price to be almost twice as much as the one that replaced it.
