Was not worth the money. The bit end stripped out and was useless. We just used the bits that came with the screws and pre drilled. Don't waste your money. **Q: what is the size of the plug to make my own plugs?** A: I can't say with sufficient precision, somewhere around 1/4" or so. However before you try making your own, you should know that the plugs that you buy are also tapered at the end, and possibly even tapered a tiny bit on the body. For all the time it would take to make your own plugs you could just buy some.
