Great Boots - Poor Sole Design - Poor Exchange Policy
Okay, I have been ordering BearPaw boots for about 10 years now and I truly love them... so much so that they have been the only footwear I choose in the fall, winter and much of the spring. That being said I have recently become a bit disappointed with a feature of these very comfy boots. The last 2 pairs I purchased about 2 years ago ended up with all four soles broken along the indentations of lines engraved in the pattern. It took just a few months of wear to accomplish this break just across the balsl of my feet. I thought, oh, well, they inadvertently selected a poor design and will probably change it. NOPE! Most of the Bearpaw (UGG Style) boots are still being hawked with this same bad sole pattern. So I decided to purchase a boot with a different style sole. The "snow boot" sole pattern looks like it will hold up better.I'll never know. The size 6 I always buy is just a bit too snug with this pair and hurts one toe. So I decided to return them for a size 7 in the same color... No problem, right?Yes, problem. For just the teeniest bit more fabric Amazon wants me to pay $30 more then I did for my size 6 boots!!! When I initially purchased them both sizes were the same price. It seems to me that they are running a popularity contest with our purchases and the prices fluctuate with the number of purchases or lack of purchases for any item. Well, I for one refuse to be used in this way. I'll hang on to my size 6's until I find someone in the family who they will fit and who will want them.I'm giving this product 4 stars, because I do love them, but I cannot evaluate the sole, But Amazon gets 1 star for charging WAY too much for an exchange of the same item just one size bigg

Super sturdy but definitely run small!
I just got these in two colors (black and hickory) and I love them so far. They are super sturdy (more so than I thought they would be) but still flexible enough to easily walk around in. I really like the heavy weight to them and the fact that it's real shearling not imitation (but it is a bit scratchy so I'm hoping I'll get used to that part). The only negative that I've got for them is that they run small, and I mean super small! I normally wear a size eight and from reading other reviews I ordered a size nine for both colors an I'm super glad I did. The hickory (tan/brown) colored ones are just a smudge bigger than the black colored ones but both are still tight, so much so that I almost worry that a size ten would have been better. Luckily they are pretty warm and I won't need thick socks to wear with them but just be advised you NEED TO ORDER AT LEAST ONE SIZE UP from what you normally wear. Overall I love how solid they feel and the stitching seems nicely done so I feel like they are going to last a good while (and I love the fact that I got them at the Deal of the Day price).

Love these boat so much, so warm and snuggles your feet
I love these boots. I bought a few pair in the beginning of this winter and my feet stayed warm and dry all winter, They are so comfy and go with just about anything, They clean up easy. They have become my go to boot not only because they are so comfy and warm, but they are so easy to put on and off. I will have these for many winter for sure, So happy with these boots I could go on and on. BEARPAW brand was founded in 2001 with the intention of redefining casual footwear by utilizing sheepskin, nature’s own technical fabric, to create comfortable and stylish shoes. Sheepskin naturally regulates body temperature so feet stay cooler and drier in the heat and warmer in the cold. In one of the most competitive footwear market segments, BEARPAW has carved out a niche area by providing customers with comfort and sensibility to set itself apart. From slippers and boots in the winter to sandals and flats in the spring, only the finest materials are used to produce BEARPAW shoes. Built to deliver quality and style, every pair of BEARPAW shoes focuses on comfort and fit, using the highest standards of craftsmanship. also much cheaper than the other brand and just as good if not better.

Usually can't get something this good so cheaply
Good boot for the price. I got them for $20 as a daily deal. I have 3 pairs of Uggs and although these aren't as high end, these make more sense for budget conscious consumers looking for a decent boot to get them from point A to point B in colder weather (I live in Upstate NY where the snow is typically abundant). I sprayed them twice first, drying in between each coat, with a suede protectant. I don't know how these would hold up under heavy use since I got them for wearing to and from work and snow shoveling, but at $20 (I saw them at this price on Black Friday at Macy's as well), they're worth a shot. I would use a protectant though, unless you're planning to wear them as fashion boots only. I wear a size 12M womens and these fit very nicely.

Warm but a bit small...
I wore another boot made by bearpaw and it had really soft padding inside the boots. Well the bottoms on these boots are not very soft. The lining in the boots are soft and do keep your feet warm. If you have flat feet and need padding, you may want to consider either getting a larger size boot to fit an insert or get a different boot altogether. My feet hurt but they are warm. Also, I wear a size 8, and got a size 9 and they still seemed a bit small. Since this is my first time wearing them, I must say the material is good and I can tell they will last for a long time. I just cannot say if I will wear them when I am working. If there is no padding, my feet will suffer. Aside from this, I do like his brand.

Love the boots, but make sure to order a size up
I really REALLY like Bearpaw boots. They're so warm and comfy AND they're SO much cheaper than the rather pricey UGG brand. That said, oddly enough, up until last year, I was able to order a size 7 and they fit just fine. (Depending on the shoe, I'll wear a size 7 or 7 1/2.) This year, however, I had to order a size up. I thought maybe my feet had grown or were swollen, but the 5 other people I asked all said the same thing. The boots were smaller than usual. Width wise, the boots were fine, but length wise, my toes were slightly squished. The size 8 fits me well, but I still docked off a star for the sizing problem.

So Comfy!
I was thinking about buying some Uggs but chose these instead as they are sheepskin and a fraction of the cost. I see no point in paying more for what amounts to a different brand label. These boots are mid calf length and fit nicely and snugly to the leg, they are lined with the softest wool and I wear them on bare feet and have not once felt sweaty or uncomfortable in them. The heel is re-enforced to maintain the shape of the boot and when I first wore them I could feel it on my ankle a little but after wearing the boots around the house for a while this seemed to go away. If you are looking for cosy sheepskin boots, are of exceptional, value, quality and comfort.
