I ordered this leash for my two Shepherd mix dogs. They pull and are reactive to other dogs. The handle is well designed. It feels comfortable in my hand and keeps my dogs close. (I have really big hands) The only thing I don’t like about it is the clasp. It is a standard clasp used on most dog leashes. I have a lack of sensation in my hand, so the clasp is hard to use. I bigger carabiner or other large clasp would make this perfect.

I have to be honest, when I ordered this leash I wasn't sure what to expect since there aren't a lot of in depth online reviews for this product besides Amazon. I originally found this leash while doing an online search for a standard leash with a plastic handle. I HATE retractable leashes, but I really loved the handle on it. Thus, I found the Ezydog Cujo. I have a 8.5 pound shih-tzu and chose to order the 25 inch size even though the company recommends the 40 inch length for small dogs. I was glad that I bought the 25 inch leash because I plan on using it for a traffic leash when I take my dog to high crowd events like the fair or parades. This length is perfect for keeping him close to my side without having to grab the center of the leash, which gives him a little wiggle room where he can move comfortably, and I'm not getting hand burn from having to grab his leash in the crowds. Now, keep in mind that I'm a 5'0 tall female so if you are a person who is a lot taller than me, the 25 inch length may not work with your height in relation to a small sized dog, but since I'm a short person the 25 inch length is perfect for that. I also chose to pair this with Ezydog's leash extension in the 24 inch. I pair that with this leash when I'm in less high trafficked areas like the beach or at the park when my dog can use a little more real estate to sniff around and do his business. Adding the extension to this leash is a breeze since it has the roomy "O" ring to attach it with. As for construction, I really like it. The leash and extension both feel really secure and well made. I REALLY love that Ezydog thought to add reflective threading in the weave of the leash itself. If you're an avid traveler like me you'll appreciate that. Since the reflective payout is high on it, anyone driving up on you will be able to see your animal well. Even with all that, I have to say my favorite part of this design is the handle. It's roomy and the grip on it feels secure in my hand while the squishy grip makes it a pleasure to hold. I have small hands and it isn't cumbersome at all. This leash feels very natural to hold. Overall I'm pretty pleased with my purchase of this leash and would recommend it to others.

We have a large puppy (100 lbs). He was pulling like crazy and the bungee part of the leash came undone. Now the leash is a little longer but doesn’t have the resistance as before. 1st time using on a walk.

Great leash but not working for me. The leash is comfortable to hold and sturdy. The "bungee" section is very very hard to stretch so it is useless for a small dog. My dog is 30 pounds and isn't strong enough to stretch it. It is really short so if you have a big strong dog or need to keep your dog close it may work for you. It's a great quality leash overall.UPDATE: I have decided I really like this leash and it deserves a higher rating. I'm giving it 4 stars. The leash did eliminate the jerk of my shoulder when my 30 pound dog lunged forward after a squirrel when we were walking. I will use it all the time since it does absorb jerks to my arm. Great leash!

This is the greatest leash I've ever owned. I have always had very well trained dogs. I currently have 3 dogs, but one of them has issues with other dogs. After training classes and even a dog behavior therapist, I have accepted the fact that there is no "cure" for her. When she sees another dog she barks and lunges and nothing I have done has changed her. I have to use a halti harness and a 2' leash on walks to control her. I even have to leash her in our yard because of neighbor dogs. I don't use the halti in the yard because she won't relieve herself with that on her face. She has pulled the leash out of my hand many times in the yard and then all hell breaks loose. In the process I have injured my hand and the situation was getting impossible. So I started a search for something with this kind of handle and when I saw the EzyDog leash I thought it could be a great solution. OMG, it is so amazing. I'm able to securely hold the handle rather than wrapping a leash around my hand. I have it hooked to a 4' leash for the yard and it's a perfect length. She has tried to "attack" several times with this leash and I can't believe how much control I have. She almost bounces back. I don't have to worry about anymore damage to me. lt works so great I might even try to take her for a walk with it without the halti. I would use the EzyDog 25" leash in place of the regular short leash I normally use. With a large reactive dog you need to have a very short leash for the best control.

I wish I had this long ago when my 10 yo 100lb. lab was a puppy. We stopped walking him more than a block for 3 years because he was such a jerk. Now that he is older he does not pull as much, he gets several miles of walking a day. But when he plants his feet to stop and smell something he could stop a train. He is not moving. This leash lessens/absorbs the shock and you don't end up with your shoulder pulled out of socket.Because we like to make dumb decisions with enduring consequences every decade or so, we now have a beagle puppy. We bought another CUJO leash for him almost immediately. A 20lb. dog is as big a jerk as the early lab days. I am pretty sure the dog is attempting to choke himself to death and pop his eyeballs out of his skull rather than walk but he seems to be happy with the charade. This leash keeps my shoulders in place, prevents whiplash, and the handle keeps my hands and wrists free from rope burns. There is no way I could walk a 10 yo lab that moseys and a 10 month old puppy beagle that thinks he is in a tractor pull at the same time without these leashes.Will be buying one for my folks that have a douchebag schnauzer. Love them and highly recommend them.

Absolutely love this leash! The handle is comfortable to hold and the bungee helps significantly with pulling. We have been using them for years.

Walking is now a pleasure. Only tried this lead for a couple of days. But hey, it really makes a difference. Our Cockapoo used to take me for a walk, now I take him.
