Unfortunately this one felt like a filler book and was my least favorite. What really hurt this book was the TSTL and things that didn't make sense.
The first two books I loved and even re-read them before reading book three and enjoyed them just as much the second time around. This one I struggled through.First two would have been 4.5-5 stars if it wasn't for the overused word mate, she used it when addressing an enemy, friend, stranger, and even her lovers. I think in the first book it was around 88 times which is about every other page once you get rid of all the extra pages that aren't the story.Drove me crazy and yanked me right out of the story every single time because of the way and where it was used I kept hearing a drugged up surfer who constantly used duuude and mate. Her dad was British so I'd understand using the term maybe 5-10 times at most sprinkled throughout but this was excessive and jarring. In this book it went down to 54 but it was still too many. Felt like most was just filler and didn't really further the plot or characters much and certainly not an entire books worth. Then we have several scenes that just don't add up and to me it was a bit lazy where she wanted things to happen but instead of taking the time to really develop a way to get there that made sense it was just a quick shot in the dark that had me going umm what?Spoiler alertAt first mention of her tired I just had a bad feeling that it would be ignored, sure enough everyone knew something was off but after two quick looks by Ezra and death it went nowhere.Really? Come on! Mal has all this experience with spells but didn't try until he finally exhausted his resources? Not bloody likely! Ezra has a bond that he can feel her etc. they could have even asked Lucifer to check her since he has a mark on her too and is powerful. See why it doesn't add up to me? Then we find out that it was weakening her so they could steal her soul but the angel of death couldn't see that? Makes no sense at all.I wish I could say that was all but unfortunately this book had several things that made me roll my eyes and sigh with all the dramatics of a teen getting a lecture from the rents. They know the enemy is coming after her so they are all don't leave her alone and then we have one of the TSTL moments where the first sentence starts with I don't know how I talked them into letting me go by myself but I did. Yeah I'm sure you can guess what happens next she gets hurt and taken.😠Come onThe mage that attacked them last book takes out the night stallion, breaks into the wards as if they weren't there, then takes out the hellhound then her all in a few minutes like it was nothing. He must be the most powerful being, oh no wait they fought him off before and she even fought the big bad in his domain for longer than she could this mage. Not adding up.She wakes up hurting and in captivity and the mage watches them hurt her and strip all her bonds off, doing nothing while they do the villain speech about stealing souls to power the battery to use. She asks where the girls boyfriend is and she's like we had to test the soul stealing machine somehow didn't we?The mage realizes oh that could've been me and decides to help her escape into fairy which will freeze the spell so she doesn't die. She not only follows and trusts him but she doesn't resent him at all or question what else he'd done to innocent people while serving the demons. It just didn't match her character to me.You think she'd have been very cautious and standoffish to him, he not only hurt and kidnapped her but she knows he's been working for people who steal souls to use as a battery to gain more power. Who knows what else he's done but she's not only okay and grateful but also lusting after him.Action not lip service that she immediately contradicts.I'm okay with him becoming part of the harem but not like this. He needs to work for her forgiveness and he should be slowly redeeming himself and I want to see enemy to lovers with relationship building and character growth. Instead it was pretty much an almost instant 180 turn around and I just wasn't feeling it.When she does ask he was all I just wanted a place where I belonged. That's it and it didn't make me go oh well that makes it okay then. That you thought killing innocents was fine and that power hungry people with no morals who want to destroy the earth were your people isn't endearing.I love tortured heroes and reading mafia and hit men but they have some morals or a line in the sand maybe it's innocents or not killing women and children.I'm going to stop here I think I've given enough thoughts about what bothered me and hopefully it helps someone else. This series is different and entertaining, and I'm hoping that the next book is more like book one and two. I really don't want to quit the series so fingers crossed. 2.5 stars

Quite the Pair
This series has taken another turn I have not seen coming. I’m enjoying the different aspects and curveballs the author is throwing at us.How much would that suck to meet the parents and while they already dislike you, throw in some demons trying to attack and then go out to dinner to have a demon rip out their soul? Yeah, totally not getting “sons girlfriend of the year” or anything…When Chris is attacked and eventually ends up with the Faye. That was a blindside. This new helper she has. Friends? More that friends? I’m curious to see how that goes.Ahhhh. I’m totally rooting for Chris, but the odds are stacked. I can’t wait to find out what the next crazy turn will be.I have so many theories about how she got put under this new spell too, but I am willing to wait it out for book 4 till I can verify! Lol. Pssssshhhhhhh*Overall 4/5*Heat? 3/5 {wish we had so much more}*First person POV

It's just so good
I'll admit, I tilted my head when I read "Pizza Shop Exorcist" as the series title, because that's not something you see together every day.The whole series so far is absolute fire and it's well worth grabbing. The spice is just right, the cheese is gooey, and the rest is... breadtastic? I don't know, I think I lost my metaphors here, but Chris doesn't! And neither does Dakota. I love her boys and I love her just as much.

Unexpected
Chris handled Lott and saved Sabian. Now it's time to meet the parents. Gotta love Aaron for how he let's his parents know about everything. Unfortunately Chris and the guys have angles and demons coming after them now. Chris has fond some friends in the 4 horsemen. Lucifer likes her pizza and is sporting the jacket like a boss. Chris get taken and everyone loses it. Brennan is quite unexpected I tell you but only Chris be able to pull him to her. I can't wait to see were that goes. Suck in the fea realm should be interesting.

What a life
Poor Chris Price cant a girl just get some peace and quiet with her harem lol. Love the story and the characters wish the book was longer and didnt end on such a cliff hanger but I'll be looking forward to the next installment.

Love this series
This series is quick, medium burn read. The author is able to pack a lot of world building in such a small amount of time.I love the main character's sarcasm and sense of humor. The author definitely toned down the use of the word mate in the 3rd book, which was a good thing.

Always a sure bet
I'm just glad I found an author that does this genre so well. You'll love this heroine. Pizza parlor owner/operator and exorcist extraordinaire . She is a little snarky sassy smart and confidant. I'm not sure how old she is but she doesn't make me feel old. Though I am to most. Take a step into the author's world and I'm sure you'll love it.

Magics price
Dakota Brown is one of the few authors I've found that every time a new book comes out I reread the whole series from book 1 to the latest ones. She has great charecters and interactions, and tells a good story that wraps up all the loose ends. Even the cliffhanger is more like a gift wrapped promise for the next book.

THE PRICE OF MAGIC
I love this series!!!! I'm so invested in it now I'm gonna struggle with the wait. The characters are amazing and the concept is different.

Viney fairies
Very good writing, just a few mistakes/misses.Entertaining continuation, the relationship with the guys and their interaction gets explored/deepened, while he overall plot ripens. The female lead is not only extremely likeable, but in this book I particularly enjoyed her tempered and normal response to the mage in fairy! (In other books the FLs are often way too forgiving and overtly nice to jerks, so I'm grateful for Chris' rational behaviour.)
