shipper failed this seller with roughly handling of packages
I was very happy with the mealworm and the un escaped roaches very healthy and lively probably got a good 400plus of the 500 order. AND PLEASE DON'T FAULT SELLER THE SHIPPER FAIL. so i recommend the seller take a extra step in protecting your cups of bug from shipper roughly handling.

Quick Delivery and Super High Survival Rate. Quality Feeder Vendor.
Received dubia roaches quickly and 99.9% survival rate out of 500 which is impressive. I will definitely be ordering more from vendor.

Amazing! Fast delivery, all alive, great packaging!
For the full review, keep scrolling. Tl;dr: Packaging was fantastic. Roaches were all alive. Fast delivery (even though they weren’t expected for over a week). Very pleased and will be ordering again! Full review: I purchased 500 small dubia for our juvenile bearded dragon and Five-lined skink. They both LOVE them. I placed my order on a Thursday. They weren’t expected to arrive until the following Tuesday or later… they arrived Saturday (just two days after being ordered!) They arrived in a box labeled “Live insects. Please keep out of cold.” I expected the roaches to be loose when I opened the box and, to my surprise, they were all contained in a cloth bag with food, egg cartons, and the bag was zip-tied shut to ensure there were no escapees. In the box was also a heat pack (since I ordered these in the cold month of February) along with packing peanuts for support. The packaging items can be seen in the attached image. I was extremely pleased with the packaging. Actual insects: I have only seen two dead roaches out of the entire order (WOW!). All roaches are the correct size (none far too big for my little reptiles). I’m not sure how many roaches I actually got, but I’m guessing there are more than 500 (please watch the short video I created). There are also a lot of Dubias hiding under the bottom egg cartons that I didn’t lift in the video. I had also already fed 25+ when I made the video. In the box was also a note regarding the LIVE GUARANTEE. It’s good to know that if for some reason they were to not survive in transit that there is a guarantee. Long story short, the price was fantastic, packaging was great, and the roaches are alive, active, and appear healthy! I will definitely continue to order through AAFeeders!

Definitely Not 500!
I decided to pick this product because of the amount promised for the price. All the other options were pretty expensive for only 200 dubia roaches, but this one advertised 500 for around the same price, but small roaches. I thought'd be a great deal, until when they arrived I immediately could tell that was definitely not 500. I would say it was about 130 to 180 at most, that's barely 2/5ths of what I paid for! :( They also were placed in a really cheap plastic container which they could crawl out of and many were pretty much dead too, I'd say about 40 or 50 were dead or on death's doorstep. My review was late because I was in a rush to remodel my entire colony setup and feed my pet, but I hope this purchase will be rectified.

Alive buggies
Absolutely all of the dubia roaches were alive on delivery! I ordered 500 of them. I'm so happy with my purchase, I'm definitely going to buy some more. Thank you so much for getting them to me in one piece. 😂

Roach graveyard
A TON were dead on arrival. It was like a roach graveyard but I can’t tell if I got 500 alive ones. Hard to count. Maybe they packed 600 and 100 died but I will never know. I had to scoop out all the carcasses first. Maybe they died during shipping so I don’t even know if I can blame the company. The alive ones are fine and my bearded dragon loved them. Good price IF I really got close to 500 I guess. Edit - My second order was way better. Better packaging and only a few are dead (expected). Update to 4 stars.

Updated* Arrived in good time, full count, some extras thrown in for good measure.
I ordered may 28th and they arrived June 3rd so I think thats good time considering I live on an Island in Alaska. It's been mid 40-50s here latley so no heat pack in box. I had waited till it was warmer to try ordering roaches. Packaged well. I like the container they came in over the silk bags I saw in recent reviews. I got the full 500 count alive and there were maybe a dozen extra that were dead but glad they put enough in for a few casualties during shipment. I appreciated the few cleaners Beatles thrown in too. Only thing I wish was maybe a card thrown in the box explaining what larva maybe mixed in. I'm just curious since I throw the roaches in my "breeder box" between feedings and I don't want to introduce something I don't know what it is. I messaged the seller just now and waiting for a response I'll try to update if I hear back. They are on the smaller size. I added a quarter and one of my larger dubia roashes I have to compare the size. So the Large one in the photo is mine and the tiny ones are the ones from the order. That's also the container they shipped in. Update: the seller got back to me in less than 24hrs and identified the larve I found were infact the cleaner Beatles dermestid larve and safe for my beardie to eat or throw in with my colony. Super appreciated the reply with info.

Amazing
I can’t say if there’s definitely 500 but there’s A LOT, I didn’t notice any dead ones. Mainly all smalls but a couple bigger ones but nothing HUGE so I like that it’s semi a variety also and the smaller ones can grow and get bigger for my frog. My only dislike is that it came in a bag, shipping was fast & great. No loose bugs. I just wish it would’ve been a container because now I need to find something to house all these lol. But overall, an amazing deal & quality! Definitely will purchase again if needed (aka if breeding them doesn’t work out)
