Gas struts
Cabinet struts work great. Easy to use.

Hang in there
The directions aren’t for those unfamiliar with the metric system. However. The pics are helpful lol. I used these for camper cabinet doors that had no way of staying open. Just relax. Take a deep breath. You can do this. It took a lil trial and error for mounting locations. The hardware was perfect. There is a slight adjustment you can use with screwing and unscrewing the shocks but not much. After some head scratching and mistakes on my end though these things do a great job. Hang in there. Watch a YouTube video on it or 2… I just ordered my second batch. Life changing lol

Great struts, terrible instructions
I purchased these to hold up the upward opening cabinet doors in my camper van build. I knew from other peoples reviews that the instructions for placement were going to be off before I started so I kept that in mind. The price was good and others liked the quality so I decided to go ahead and give them a try. I initially used the formula in the instructions to mark the placement inside the cabinet and no surprise they were way off. I then took my own measurements of the strut open and compressed and came up with my own measurements of where they would need to be placed. I then used some thin cardboard from a soda box and created a template for the other cabinets. This worked well and the placement was perfect. Other than that they are very easy to install and hold up the cabinet doors with no problem. They are strong enough that I only used one strut per door. I have seen other people use two, but that definitely wouldn’t be necessary in this situation.

Used as on a wooden box.
The media could not be loaded. I just purchased and installed one of these and so far so good. Time will tell how it holds up, but it worked out perfectly for my project. I bought it with the expectation that it might not work for what I was trying to do. Happy that it did work!

Very strong
These are really easy to install with a couple of screws. I installed two of these on a coffee table with a heavy lid. You can place these to open the lid fully or partially.

Works well, but does wear out
Replaced the exact same strut on a travel trailer cabinet door. One of the three is now starting to go bad, after only a year, and will not hold up the door. I bought a 3 pack, so we'll see when I have to buy more as they wear out. I have 5 of these on other cabinet doors with this exact strut and they are doing fine with 2 years of use.

These worked perfectly!
The media could not be loaded. Just what I needed to hold open the cabinet doors so I didn't hit my head. They open smoothly and strongly and hold the door overhead without any problem. I was skeptical about them being so reasonably priced, and I am no craftsman, but look at the video and see for yourself. These doors are 16x30 inches and are not light.

Strong little struts when installed properly
The media could not be loaded. Update 4/9/19The struts continue to work beautifully on my chicken coop windows. I live in Minnesota and it gets quite cold during the winter. These struts continue to work no problem! so I decided to buy another set for these storage bench’s I made. Love these little guys! See original review below.I use them to prop open windows on my chicken coop. At first I was skeptical they would be strong enough but once installed they work perfectly.Instructions tell you roughly how to measure and install but first I had to convert from mm to inches which is not as precise but I made it work. The end of each strut is a sort of socket which pairs with a ball piece to make a ball and socket joint that each strut hinges on. There is a small metal clip on the strut end/socket that I thought had to be removed to join the ball/socket joint however, I eventually realized they can simply snap together or apart with the clip installed.I’ve had these now for several weeks and they keep going strong. They are cheap enough where if one blew I could easily buy more. Also the ball pieces can stay installed so replacing the strut would be very easy.
