great pizza oven wood
while they are expensive they are great size for my pizza oven and burn slow. They are easy to light if you have fire starters and don't smoke. Price is the only reason I won't purchase as they are expensive for what you get.

Need hardwood cut in correct length for pizza oven?
These hardwood "logs" are cut in the perfect length and are the perfect size to fit a home wood-fired pizza oven. Ive looked far and wide to find wood cut in 12 inch lengths. Most places that sell wood are cutting their logs in much longer lengths. Makes it very difficult to use in a smaller oven. Worth the extra cost!

Good for pizza, not for brisket!
I tried this brand of Oak in my smoker, but it was drier then I expected and flared up repeatedly. It was difficult to keep a consistent temperature.

Burns hot
Price seemed a bit steep but I gave it a try. I am using with my Smokey Mountain 22.5 Smoker with a Kettle Pizza insert. Prior to using Carolina Cookwood I could not get the temperature above 450-500 degrees f.I used 8 pieces of the Caroline Cookwood on top of my coals, went back inside to put my first pizza together and in about 5-8 minutes the temp was above 700 degrees f.
