Baxton Studio Andrew Dining Table, 47.75" W x 30" D X 29.5" H, Dark Brown

The customer Q&A and reviews falsely indicate this is made of solid wood. I can clearly see it is fiberboard with a wood laminate. It has a strong formaldehyde smell in addition to a formaldehyde warning sticker. I bought it for $90, which is a good deal if you can't go to IKEA (they offer solid pine dining tables of the same size for under $100). It's a shame that the listing from the manufacturer states "hardwood," I made the mistake of thinking that meant it was made of solid pieces of wood; hardwood just means "wood from a non-coniferous tree"...so it can still be fiberboard, just made out of a deciduous tree.I don't want to go through the hassle of returning this <$100 furniture item, and I need a table, so I guess I'll just leave the windows open near it (fyi formaldehyde takes 10 years to fully de-gas).

I bought three of these tables for one of my sons, who needed a table for computers and inventory in a small mail order business he's setting up in the house. I chose them because the tables are dark wood, and will look suitable in our very traditional house, but not fussy looking. They were quite nice for the price. However, 2 of the three arrived damaged, with at least one corner split out. In order to fix them, my husband and son applied copious amounts of wood glue to the corners, replaced the pieces which had split out, and clamped them together with "pony clamps". Pictures of the damage and of one table being glued together are included. Once together, they are very solid, but having to work that hard at assembling these tables was off-putting. I have included a picture of one table set up, with a chair beside it for scale. It would work well in a small dining area for no more than 4 people. While it has a nice woodgrain-look finish, the top is some sort of laminate, so will hold up reasonably well to everyday use. My son has been using these for almost 3 months, and they are rock solid (probably, in no small part, due to the wood glue). For the price, these were a good value, and I'd have given them 4 stars had they not been so damaged. I hope this helps someone make a choice!

Those in the business knows.. Having a good solid workspace when working in a Professional or home studio is a must.. Absolute steal in terms of bargain.. This solid wood Baxton Studio Andrew Modern Dinning Table has been an excellent alternative to my home studio.. Originally in the market for an actual studio desk, the ones I researched were out of my price range and didn't meet the dimensional requirements for my studio console and space where I'm setup.. Upon research I came across this table and have been very pleased with this purchase.. Really simple to assemble, it's dark brown finish compliments the rest of my studio giving it a sleek professional feel for it's price point.. I definitely recommend this table for your dinning room or as I use it, home studio alternative if you can't afford a fancy studio desk at the moment

I just set it up and I’m really happy with it. I was looking for a computer desk that had room for a little more than just the monitor and keyboard. If you search for a desk then you won’t find one with a good depth although some of them are pretty long. Searching for a table like for a dining room got me this guy. It looks great and I am very happy with the extra room I’m getting. I’d give it five stars but it arrived damaged and I don’t see how I can give five stars when that happens. In my situation i just have the damaged area facing the wall. I imagine if you’re pretty handy you could just do a bit of repair work to a damaged area and then be happy with the value of the table.

Good quality table sized for small/medium size kitchen. Easy for one person to assemble. Looks great with four medium size chairs. The first photo is with natural light and second photo is with recessed LED ceiling lights. Everyone comfortable when seated with ample room.

Absolutely excellent value for the money. Needed to upgrade my 2 seater table to a 4 seater and I honestly paid about the same for both, while this one is slightly better quality even. Comfortably seats 4, though would be very crowded if you wanted to fit serving bowls between people. Perfect for a 2 person household that occasionally wants to host some friends or family.Super easy to assemble; took me like 20 minutes including time to open and unpack the box itself. Literally 5 pieces to connect with provided screws; tabletop + 4 legs.Has a few scuffs here and there, it's not perfect, but I expect that with anything shipped. Solid product, would recommend.

Amazing value for money: genuine hardwood, high-quality product. But that is the good work of the Malaysian craftsmen. The Amazon reseller Baxton Studio rushed to attach its brand and marketing skills to the table ("Andrew Modern Dining Table"), but to set up some sort of customer service. While the table is made of perfect hardwood, their packaging is made to be perfectly cheap: single layer cardboard and some styrofoam for the posterity. Hard to believe that too many such packages arrive undamaged. A crack across the middle of the side of the table. I duly emailed 3 photos of the damage, twice. Also no response on the phone.

I got this table to use as a workspace for my art. It is sturdy and works great for my needs. Was delivered in perfect condition and easy to assemble. Also smells nice, like clean cut wood :)

Very good value and solid.

I love the table. I have a small place and it’s perfect. Came with some scratches so not sure what to do with those.
