GOOD VALUE AND IT WORKS!!
I ordered this gel as I have an ongoing problem with raised/hypertrophic scars. My most recent surgery has left me with a 22 inch scar on my thigh. Normally I use a silicon gel dressing, which I get on prescription. This dressing is very good, but depending on scar position, can be awkward to keep stuck in place. Therefore, I thought I'd try a gel version in the hope it would absorb nicely, and I could leave it uncovered at times for a change.I looked at many different gels on sale as frankly, they can be quite expensive. This one seemed reasonable price for reasonable sized tube, and had good reviews.I was not disappointed. It's incredibly easy to use - no faffing trying to stick on bits of tape! As you have to rub it in a little it makes you massage the scar a bit which prevents hypersensitivity. It rubs in very easily, and feels very smooth once on. My skin is fairly sensitive (hence the scar issues), but there was no irritation in the slightest. No strong scent of any kind either. The part of the scar I've been testing it on is doing well too - no raising, no darkening in colour. It's helping it stay a nice healthy pink colour instead of dark purple!I would definitely recommend this gel.

Brilliant brilliant brilliant!
My scar has been present for 2 months. I decided to try gel rather than silicone tape - at least for the winter months.I am personally less concerned than I was with how the scar looks as scar health, skin tightened by developing scar tissue, and the adhesion to tissues like muscle underneath is occurring . As a person of colour, I had pigmentation concerns and was quite upset as I had changes in the area but am overall happy with this gel doing the job when I apply it.Massaging surgical scars is as important as what you put onto the scars for sure! I found it was handy to have one gel in my hand and another at home.Things I like about this particular gel:The priceMy skin feels good and well moisturised after use twice a dayIt doesn't leave a gross film or stain on

So far, so good!
Post-surgery incisions are finally healed enough to begin scar care, and I decided to try gel rather than silicone tape - at least for the winter months. I may change my mind when UV exposure becomes a concern again.Full disclosure: I am less concerned with how the scar looks (all scars eventually fade in colour anyway), and more with overall scar health, skin tightened by developing scar tissue, as well as adhesion to tissues like muscle underneath. Also note, I am a white person. People of colour may have different pigmentation concerns.Massaging surgical scars is at least as important as what you put onto the scars, so that's something to keep in mind.Things I like about this particular gel:- the price point. This product is one of the more affordable options.- the overall consistency doesn't bother me sensory-wise- skin feels supple and lightly moisturised after use twice a day- doesn't leave a gross film or stain on clothingThings that could be better:- it dries down pretty quickly, which makes it difficult to massage the skin for longer than a minute. It might be necessary to massage the scar tissue with something that has a bit more slip at different times of the day.

Great results
I bought this to help reduce scarring following a total knee replacement. It does seem to help keep the scar tissue supple and takes the redness away. My scar is now a fine white line and I am sure this gel helped a lot. It’s a small tube but you only need a little so it lasts a long time. I would recommend this product.

Used this after collarbone surgery
I broke my collarbone and had to undergo surgery around 10 weeks ago. Once my stiches were taken out and the scabs had healed, showing the new skin. I started using this.It has definitely helped reduced the size of the scar, flattened the scar and helped the skin sensitivity around the area. As I had a patch of numbness due to the skin fibres being cut in surgery. My surgeon as well as friends and family have commented on how fast, neat and less noticeable scar looks. A small bit gos along way on application, I still have have a tube left and have been using it twice a day.I would definitely recommend this for any type of new surgery scars.

Made in china, no assurance of any medical quality.
I was quite disappointed to see that this looks like a china based manufacturer. The product looks OK but I cannot hve any certainty that this has passed EU/UK certifications nor that it has any medical quality. I would buy a properly branded product instead next time, even if it costs double.I have never used silicone gel before, but it looks legit and it seems to repel water. It also has a moisturising effect on my scar (new 2-week old scar) and does minimise the tiching that would otherwise appear. I just hope (and hence the problem, I would like assurance rather than hope) that this minimises the scaring and prevents a raised scar.
