Perfect upgrade for a Wanhao Duplicator i3/Monoprice Maker Select 3D printer
I purchased this fan as an upgrade modification for my Monoprice Maker Select 3D printer. I replaced the stock fan that blows on the nozzle and it has improved my prints dramatically. Cooling is everything in 3D printing and this modification is well worth the time to do it.To do this mod, you'll need to print a different fan shroud that's available on Thingiverse for free. Search for DiiiCooler for Wanhao Duplicator i3 / Maker Select on Thingiverse. Read the model info to select the right model for your printer version. I would suggest printing it in ABS as the heater block wire is very close to the shroud and I don't think PLA would stand up to the heat.

Blows well if working
I purchased two of these for cooling the extrusion on my 3d printer. I chose them for the volume of moved air. One of them works and blows air quite well, but makes a ticky noise. The other one jerks like it is going to go but doesn't unless the speed setting is turned up to 45 percent.

Fixed my broken Pure XL Humidifier fan
Worked great as a replacement fan for the one that died on my 2.5 year old Pure XL Humidifier which had a part no 5015 mm 12 V 0.7A current. The only difference was this one was 0.6A current but works just fine and seems to blow a little faster.

Bought 2 fans both basically DOA
The media could not be loaded. got the fans in and when I first plugged them in they ran fine for about 5 sec then just stopped. I double, triple, and quad checked that my power supply and fan voltage as well as amperage was correct. Only when held in a specific orientation will they run at the correct rpm, and when you turn it over they straight up stop themselves from internal friction. They went onto a maker select V2 3d printer where I previously had 2 MUCH cheaper 12v .15a fans running for about 6 months. Was hoping to get a longer life out of these with less noise but guess I just got burned.

Very low air flow
My original fan was rated at .1 amp the one I bought is rated at .15 amp, thinking it should be a bit stronger but boy was I wrong. About 1/3 rd of the air flow from the original fan and polarity was back ass wards from what I needed in my humidifier. Quite noisy too. Oiled up the old one and put it back in. works fine now. Would not recommend to anyone.

Waste of money!!
Received product and it doesn’t work. Just hums when power is on. I’m afraid is left in to long it will cause fire. Tried to get a replacement but amazon only has option to return in person. Guess I’m out 9 bucks
