A fun board game as well as a therapeutic tool!
I bought this for my schools list of donation items. I suspect it will be used in the therapists office. Of course we had to try it out first before donating it!...I was surprised that unlike other therapeutically geared games I have bought, the kids actually thought this was a normal board game and were having fun. They were completely oblivious to the fact that I was involving them in this activity to teach them social skills! I had bought a couple therapy type games before and I have found it challenging to engage the kids and make it fun. Not so with this game, which surprised me, because I am the first to write a review. On the other hand, the other games I mentioned are more famous ;) My eight year old was having a good laugh with this game as was my four year old. Although my four year old didn't understand all the intricacies of the rules she was able to participate and learn.I can see this being a great game for all kids and especially for those with Aspergers/Autism. The main focus of the game is basically teaching through acting our actions and phrases, the difference between being too aggressive, too passive and doing something 'just right'. We all know there is a sweet spot when it comes to behavior and some kids just find this easier to navigate than others. Especially if you have an active/alert, high energy kind of child you will know what I mean!
