CB Radio Power Cord 3 Pin 2-Wire CB Power Cords with 15A Fused Replacement Power Cord for Cobra Uniden Galaxy Mobile CB Radio (2 Pack)

I wanted to build a cable with Powerpole connectors on the ends so I can connect my Uniden BCD996P2 scanner to my Powerpole power distribution system. The cable that is included with the BCD996P2 has 3 pins where the 3rd pin (orange fused cable) is to connect to a dimmer system for when you turn the headlight on which connects to the a port in your car when it gets dark or when the headlight (not daytime running lights) comes on. I didn't need that as this is for at home installation to a Powerpole power distributor.I found this cable, put a pair of Powerpole connectors, replaced the fuse with a 2A fuse and connected it to the power distributor. Works great. Only 2 pins and the third pin is floating (not connected to anything.) I don't have to worry about a short in the dimming system built into the radio in case I decide to install it in the car using the stock 3 pin power cable.The price is great as you get 2 cables, so I can have a spare on hand in the event the first one fails.I hope this helps for anyone trying to build a Uniden BCD996P2 Powerpole power cable.

Lost the cord for one of my radios. This one is a perfect fit for an older Uniden Grant XL. Works fine.

Great for my cb radio in my car

Default fit to the radio. But the wire is hard of the stripped ends making it difficult to fit in the post holes. Had to cut and re-strip the lines. Otherwise. Perfect and works as expected.

Works great. Plugged to back of CB then plugged into 12v outlet. Worked fine and every day after that. Saved running a bunch of wire like in the old days.
