Bosch quality at a good price

Always use these drill bits as they go through most material without changing bits. Good quality last a long time. As they say buy cheap buy twice.

This drill bit is so far beyond any standard steel ones that I wished I could have given it 10 stars. It sailed through plaster, then breeze block, then brick all in one go. Superb.

I have a house with some extremely hard bricks. They are like an engineering brick and 'ordinary' masonry drill bits really struggle.I had a requirement to fit a batten to a lintel over a door. The ordinary masonry drill bits made no impression on the lintel, so I needed a better masonry bit.The choice boiled down to a DeWalt Extreme and this Bosch CYL-9.The Bosch CYL-9 just edged it. I then tried it on some of my bricks (to fit a couple of new LED security lights) and the CYL-9 made a better job than my usual masonry bits.Advice on a DIY forum was to use a SDS drill and bit - but as I was only drilling six holes, that investment didn't seem worth it.Only 4 stars though because it was still difficult to drill into the bricks and lintel.I can't make any comment onto the longevity of the drill bit as so far, I've only drilled a total of ten holes with it.

Good quality

Used to drill out broken manifold studs.The heat had made the studs brittle and glass hard, normal and cobalt drill bits would hardly touch them and kept breaking. These did the job with just a little water cooling.

I am very pleased with this drill bit. I've used it on brick, block and even plasterboard. It has done the job with a fairly light weight battery powered percussion drill. I usually use a chorded chunky drill for masonry drilling, but haven't needed to with this bit. The end is a bit more pointed than usual so it stays where you want it to. Have not used it on dense brick yet, and can't really comment on durability but would highly recommend.

The 5.5mm drill bit is the best you can get for the money for drilling holes for 6mm wall plugs

De momento,en ladrillo y hormigón muy buenos resultados..aun no se su durabilidad...casi no hay que usar la percusión...buenas brocas
