WR51X443 Defrost Heater for GE Refrigerator Fits AP2071465 PS303934

An easy item to install and saved replacing my refrigerator. I am an 80+ female and did this repair myself.

Defroster coil assembly looks great and probably is but after melting the glacier in the refrigerator, when I plugged the refrigerator in the compressor ran and got hot but nothing was cooling or even cold. I have to return, these are very specific to particular refrigerator per design of refrigerators in general.

Fixed my fridge, fits like an oem. But it stopped working after 5 months.

Our repairman/friend came over to help us with our failing freezer which was not defrosting therefore freezing up. It kept the refrigerator section from maintaining a cool enough temp as well. He got online to a parts place he uses and these parts were $94. I took the model number and put them in Amazon and found these for this great price! It was a HUGE welcome!I watched him install them and they were basically plug and play. It was fast. We just made sure the freezer was completely defrosted first. The longest part was reattaching the back panel of the freezer. It works perfectly now.Thankful!

The part fit my GE refrigerator fine but upon unpacking I found the red wire to the heater was not connected. Only a tiny amount of insulation was stripped and the terminal was only crimped to the insulation. I had to strip more insulation off and remove the terminal from the housing (with great difficulty) and crimp the terminal correctly. I won't know if it actually works until it successfully goes through a defrost cycle.

Ice maker stopped making ice. Evaporator was freezing up. No port to check refrigerant level. 20 year old ge. This would have worked if it was the problem. Never installed, long story short, low refrigerant on 20 yo fridge means new fridge.Great seller, would order parts from again if and when needed, thanks

Honestly, I wasted too much time on this matter although I was able to get my full refund.
