It's pretty easy to use but the sound quality and playback sound quality is pretty bad. Image quality is mediocre. With that said, my 6 year old loves it anyways and finds it easy to use.

I like the size of the camera. It fits nicely in your hand. Not too heavy so it doesn't fatigue your hand. It has a lot of really nice features for a fairly inexpensive (not cheaply made) camera. And the seller ships fast!

I bought this to video public lecturers and presentations for my YouTube channel, so I haven't tried some of its capabilities like night vision and digital zoom. Amazon offers several similar camcorders near the same price, all manufactured in China by companies you never heard of. I chose this one because it included the SD card, extra battery, and an add-on microphone. I'm glad I did. This camera takes excellent quality video, with options for various resolutions, including HD and 4K. However, the built-in mic captures very low sound, even at close range. Sound is much improved by attaching the external mic bundled with the product. There are a few gotchas to watch out for. My first test video recorded the person upside down. There was a setting in the menu for "auto rotate" that is shipped enabled, and once I found it and turned it off, the issue resolved. Nothing in the scant user manual tells you this. The external mic, which I believe is essential to record sound as good as the picture quality, could use some engineering enhancements. It has its own battery which must be charged separately, and its own off on switch which must be turned on when recording. This means you cannot just press the record button, but also have to make sure you have turned on the mic--a step easily forgotten. Also, it connects to a jack in the back camera by a cord which comes from the front of the mic. Be careful not to let the cord drape in front of the lens. A better design would have been for the cord to come out the back of the mic, so it could connect to the camera without being in the way. Finally, the camera comes with a remote control. From what I can find in the user manual, you must use the remote to playback a video or to delete a video. Why these functions are not available on the built in menu is not explained. But the result is you must carry the remote if you want to check to make sure you have the video you want before moving on. Despite these irritating inconveniences, this camera bundle is a value proposition considering its low price.

Camera works good and has clear quality. But remote doesn't work. Replaced batteries two times. Still doesn't work. That was disappointing.

My grandson loves his camera. It's been well used for a year now with no issues...except that he lost the operators manual and there are a lot of features to play with. An email to the company resulted in a pdf of the manual the next day! Thanks!
