Highly recommend this wool. Chunky and so soft

Soft and woolly for an acrylic yarn. VERY easy to work with, holds shape well and probably won't need blocking for a lot of projects. The color is nice (I got the baby pink). The fabric really shows variation-- this is a great yarn for projects that have cables or other patterns, but if the tension is uneven, I think it will really show. I wasn't too happy with the acrylic-y feel, but when I was making a hat for my mom with it, someone else loved the feel so much that they requested a hat with the same yarn (so I've just ordered my third skein). I'm not in love with it, but it gets points for being so attractive to a non-knitter hat enthusiast.

Never tried this brand of yarn before, figured I'd give it a try. WOW!! The quality of the yarn is excellent, not too stiff not too soft. Doesn't fray or split! Easy to use and a great value for the money! When the label says chunky, thats what you get and holds a stitch beautifully! Will definitely be ordering again!!!!

This yarn was supper easy to work with. The color is beautiful, and it's the kind of soft that you want to cuddle with. It did not go as far as I thought it would.

I have purchased this yarn in blue, black, red, green and yellow. I am making chunky winter hats. It’s perfect for my project.

It worked out well. A request was made to make a black knit cap with a bill for a gentleman. Saw a blog on line which suggested a heavier yarn in order to keep the bill from drooping.

Made a statement scarf for my guy as a sentimental gift. He loves it! My dog loved it too! Feels so nice when woven and the red is a good color with his outfits.

I am very pleased with this product, it is nice and easy to work with. It makes up very quickly, and I feel it will be comfortable to wear.

Exactly as described. Excellent quality. I am a beginner at knitting and this yarn knits up quickly and it is so soft. My mom, who is really the crafty one in our family, purchased a couple balls from the local craft store, but I ran out 3/4 of the way through knitting my pattern! I was very happy when I found a match on Amazon.Since it is a natural colour, and synthetic, I dont’t think the color should have been too much of a cocern. It was an exact match, the quality was the same, and I was able to finish my cable-knit pillow cover. The yarn did not split or fray as I knitted it up. Even when I would accidentally send my needle through the middle of the steand, it did not fray terribly. It was one continuous line, without any ends tied together to make a complete ball. It is high quality material for a great price. I even had enough leftover to make a little monkey-knot-ball on a long lead for my cat to chase around.If your a beginner or looking for a soft yarn that will knit up quickly this one was perfect for me.

Took a while to arrive but worth the wait, beautiful thick wool and lovely colour, I would deffernately buy again, I made an ear warmer, a gift for a friend.

I love Bernat's Softee Chunky yarn. It's inexpensive but doesn't feel cheap, it's machine washable and dryable, and it's great for warm hats and fluffy scarves. It's not extra soft, but it's acceptable. I have a hat made with this yarn that I wear under my bike helmet in winter and it doesn't feel itchy. Great value for the money!
