Review: My kids love a story set in their favorite game! - We bought the first episode on the Wii U, but at the time I wasn't sure if they would ever complete it so I didn't buy any more. At first there were only going to be 5 episodes, but they did 3 more for a total of 8. Even after I was sure the 5 episodes were coming out for the Wii U, I wasn't sure they'd do the other 3 episodes. In fact, I don't think the final 3 episodes are available in the eShop yet but only on this disk! The gameplay is boring to an Adult, but kids love it. It's kinda a mix of a choose your own adventure, an adventure game, and a mini-game collection. It's all of these things, but none of these things are very complicated. The choose your own adventure part never lets the story go in a wildly different direction, but you can make choices that affect small aspects of the story later. The adventure game isn't much more than finding everything you can pick up and then sometimes using what you picked up. The mini games are often nothing more than a quicktime event. There isn't enough game for me to really get into this, so I was surprised by how much my kids love this! It's more of an interactive story, but my kids like Minecraft so much that they really like this. The story is great. I really like a fun story in the Minecraft world because it has encouraged my kids to not just dink around in the regular Minecraft but to make a bit of their own story! The first four episodes are a single story arc. All the episodes after that have continuing story from episode to episode but are much more episodic. The graphics are great. I hear they built everything in Minecraft and then imported the graphics into Telltale's game engine. My kids have now built some things from this game in Minecraft! If you don't mind the blocky Minecraft style, everything looks very good. It's a little bit buggy, but all the Teltale games are. I'm sure they'll patch things out some but that it will always be a little buggy. Load times are a bit long, but not too bad. My game works fine and is not defective. I'm sorry to hear that some are getting a bad game because I think desertcart's policy is that you can only return a bad game and not exchange it for another copy. I'm sure at some point that people tried to run a scam where they would exchange games they said were bad to get more DLC codes. People like that cause desertcart to make policy that's worse for everyone who isn't scamming desertcart and sadly applies even to games that don't have codes in the box. In the end, my kids are loving this. I really suggest it. I think it's fine to play it on the Wii U. But it's the same game whether you play on the Wii U or some other platform. If your kids like minecraft, they'll love this. Review: Bad, Bad Bad RIP-OFF - This will be a Christmas gift for my son, I am sure he will love it. Will update after Christmas. Update OK so now it is after Christmas and I am furious as to find out what I paid for, which is just 1 episode and have to download 4 other episodes. Downloading these episodes is not such a big deal but should have been on the disc. Now my other problem is so far only episode 2-3 are available for free. You do have to pay for episode 4 and 5 what the hell kind of crap is this. I did read somewhere on these reviews a customer stated all episodes are free well that is a lie don't beleave them I can tell you episode 4 is available but they want you to purchase it BS this is a RIPOFF. If anything changes I will update. Update 1/26/16 I have saved e-mails as proof this company the maker of the game and Microsoft state they are working on a fix however one is still not available. They are hoping for a fix by 2-1-16 well then what? This should be illegal WTF is going on. All this is not any fault of desertcart but now that desertcart knows of this issue they should entitle a caution when people make this particular game purchase. Anyway if you are looking to purchase this game hold off till they fix the problem or you will be purchasing the game for the price it is being sold for plus a $5.00 fee for the other episodes that's lets see Game at desertcart cost $25.00 each episode is %.00 the episodes to download are 2,3,4 and 5 that's a grand total of $45.00 plus tax for a game that don't work 100%. Hope I have helped anyone interested in this nightmare. I will come back with an update once they have a fix for all the problems..... On the plus side my son loves the game it only has episode one installed on the disc, I personally think this game sucks it is so dumb but the kids love it. The regular Mine craft is awesome bottom line don't spend your money on this junk. UPDATE:8/14/2016 Came back here to update everyone all problems have been resolved by Microsoft and the game maker works perfect also at this time new episodes are becoming available episodes 7-10 my kids play this all day great game keeps them imagining many scenario. ## Features - All eight episodes in the series on one disc for the first time, all five episodes of Season One and all three episodes of the Adventure Pass. - Created by award-winning adventure game powerhouse Telltale Games, in partnership with Minecraft creators, Mojang. - You will drive the story through the decisions you make: what you say to people (and how you say it), and what you choose to do in moments of thrilling action will make this YOUR story. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01BVX6B02 | | Best Sellers Rank | #32,645 in Video Games ( See Top 100 in Video Games ) #162 in Wii U Games | | Compatible Video Game Console Models | Nintendo Wii U | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars (2,561) | | Date First Available | February 17, 2016 | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00894515001696 | | Is Discontinued By Manufacturer | No | | Item Weight | 3.2 ounces | | Item model number | MCSWUST | | Language | English | | Manufacturer | Telltale Games | | Product Dimensions | 0.5 x 5.4 x 7.7 inches; 3.2 ounces | | Publication Date | December 13, 2016 | | Rated | Everyone 10+ | | Release date | December 13, 2016 | | Type of item | Video Game | | UPC | 894515001696 | ## Images ![Minecraft: Story Mode- The Complete Adventure - Wii U - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/818EKN4723L.jpg) ![Minecraft: Story Mode- The Complete Adventure - Wii U - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51UqPNXNLxL.jpg) ![Minecraft: Story Mode- The Complete Adventure - Wii U - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51Ai-WhZdtL.jpg) ![Minecraft: Story Mode- The Complete Adventure - Wii U - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81p5Cv0VUQL.jpg) ![Minecraft: Story Mode- The Complete Adventure - Wii U - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81UUjd2QCzL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will the wii u games work in the regulsr wii systems** A: No they will not. However, it's fine. I played with him and watched him play. It's just some cartoon violence but no blood or anything. It reminds me of a childrens cartoon movie except the kids get to choose responses to questions so they can see how the scene will play out based on the responses they choose. It's appropriate for 8 or 9 year olds and up (in my opinion). Don't buy this game if you are looking for a game that is played like the minecraft for PC or iPad or iPod. This is very different. It's kind of like a movie - but kids get to interact by making the character walk up to other characters to have a conversation or figure out how to solve a mystery etc. It's not an action game. Or the minecraft game. There is another game available for Wii U that is like the Minecraft you see on the PC. So, if that's what you want, don't buy this one. Also, I noticed that language on the App Minecraft Storymode has bad language that this game does not. I was honestly scared to buy this for him, but it's definitely age appropriate. It's fun for the whole family. ## Frequently Bought Together - Minecraft: Story Mode- The Complete Adventure - Wii U - Nintendo Wii U Deluxe Set: Super Mario 3D World and Nintendo Land Bundle - Black 32 GB (Renewed) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/36884465-minecraft-story-mode-the-complete-adventure-wii-u](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/36884465-minecraft-story-mode-the-complete-adventure-wii-u) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
