Makita Bit Magnet: Elevating Magnet Standards
Let me tell you about the Makita Bit Magnet—a shining beacon of quality amidst the murky waters of Amazon. While others promise the moon and deliver a pebble, this magnet grabs attention with its robust build and magnetic prowess. As someone who performs pre-delivery inspections on RVs for a living, I need tools that I can rely on. Unlike its feeble competitors that lose grip faster than Biden loses his train of thought, the Makita holds on tight. It's like having a loyal sidekick that never lets you down, keeping your bits firmly in place where they belong. And let's talk durability—while others crumble under pressure, this magnet stands tall. It's as if Makita crafted it from material that could withstand a Hulk smash (well, almost). In conclusion, if you're tired of settling for subpar magnets that are about as reliable as my flaky cousin's promises, the Makita Bit Magnet is your hero. It sticks with you through thick and thin, making your drilling and screwing adventures a magnetic success.

Great magnet for drill bits
This magnet does a great job at keeping my drill bits magnetized. It's nice not having to use the adapters with the magnets on the shift, because some of them are not very strong.

Ehh. Kind of a letdown.
We use Makita screw guns at work. My Girl and I both... I bought 2 of these, and 2 of a brand I had never heard of... The ratings were high on both... So I said screw it (pun intended), lest test them both...I put both brands on the same bit (it's a 6" bit), using the same screw (it's a heavy, self anchoring screw... I aimed them straight ahead, straight up, straight down, and even shook them pretty violently. The other brand didn't even budge. Screw stayed on the bit perfectly. This one seemed a little wiggly just moving it... Once I got to the part where I was shaking it, the screw head came unsealed. It didn't fall to the floor, but I had to put it back on the bit...Then, I set them each down on my washing machine lid, and tried to pull them off. The Makita barely held. The other brand nearly lifted the lid before it let loose.I'm not saying the Makita brand is useles... I'm still gonna keep it for my small jobs around my house.... But the other brand quite literally blows it out of the water. It's not even close...

OK, but get the newer metal one
Fits loose on my bits. Doesn't fall off and adds some magnetism but the flat end of it does not hold the screw. The newer metal Mag Boost fits much better and the flate head of the screw is on the magnet. Get that one.
