Exactly what I needed!
Worked perfectly! After purchasing a cheaper one on Temu that constantly snagged on the fabric and ripped the thread, I decided to try spending the extra money on this one and it was well worth it.This one was much higher quality and much easier to use. It did not snag on the fabric and the hook is smooth, making the fabric glide easily through it.I like to save money on crafting supplies whenever possible, but this is one that is definitely worth spending a little more to get better quality!

Not going to stop me!
So my needle set did come in pieces and I did glue it back together. I've seen several reviews where people were seriously upset by this, which I don't quite understand and do not share their opinion. This is my first tambour needle set and I do feel that it is satisfactory, a little gluing has never annoyed me. I'm of the mind set that if the need for gluing something offends you then you might want to rethink your DIY skill/mind set! I was happy with the thinness of the handle, as a larger one would cause hand fatigue to set in quickly, and the needles themselves are perfectly made (no over-stamps or excess slag bits anywhere) I eagerly glued the pieces together using GS HYPO-CEMENT ( I just like it), and even more eagerly waited a half hour. Then tested it out. First I tried the largest needle on canvas ( huge list of reasons, too many to list here) as it was my first time even attempting this type of stitching. Then the middle needle on denim fabric (not stretch) and so forth. I was happy with the results each time. The needles do not catch on the fabric even the cotton muslin that I used the smallest needle on ( would love to test on silk as well but I'd swear you'd need an even smaller needle for that!). Overall a great purchase and would recommend to anyone wanting to broaden their skills.

The tool is ☆☆☆☆☆, the one I got was broken.
The tool they sent was broken. It comes with three needles or hooks, and the smallest one did not have a head, or hook, on it. Broken off. Plus the sealed package had been cut open with a scissors, which I should have noticed first. I sent it back and ordered one from Lacis in California. I must admit that Amazon service and refund is ☆☆☆☆☆!The tool gets a 5 star rating! Once I got a holder to hold the hoop, I could work efficiently and it looks pretty good from the start. It's crocheting through a net. (Cotton net from Dharma Trading for $5 a yard. Best price.) With the tambour hook, you can do a running chain stitch on the upward side of the fabric, or you can string a bunch of beads or sequins on your thread and place a stitch behind each bead on the underneath side, making beading go really fast. Youtube has videos to show you how.The three hook sizes correspond to your thread thickness, obviously. The smallest will work well with sewing thread size, or a #80 or #100 thread. The middle size works well with #12 DMC perle cotton, and the largest size is good with a #30 mercerized cotton.

GREAT QUALITY AND FAST DELIVERY
FINALLY! After initially buying a poorer quantity tambour needle thinking I could work with it but couldn’t do anything. The needle opening/hook on the tip of the other one (on the left) was smaller and caused the thread to pop. The needle was too short for me and the opening too small. I’ll always use Laci’s brand needle, the quality is unbeatable and I received my package 4 days earlier than the scheduled time from the UK. Very happy with my purchase.

Tambour Needles
I thought it would be easy to do but as I experimented with it I found it to be rather difficult. I wish the instructions on the use of the tool was a little more explicit. Although you can see the tool in use through YouTube, having written reference would improve the learning curve. The tools themselves are pretty much like a small headed crochet needle except that the head varies just a little. For the money it was worth the price but the lack of proper instructions dropped a star.

Get several the price is right. You will never just use a needle again.this will be your first pick, good luck
Anyone doing any kind of bead work needs to put down your needle and learn to do tambour beadinq Embroidery.Once you learn to hold the needle correctly and apply the right tension so your not snagging the thread you will fly thru whatever your doing.Compare the work you've done to the work you doing with the tambour needle and you will see a big difference . Buy yourself several sets, these hooks are very well made .Bbut when your a beginner you can stress the needle And it will break ,like I did with the # 70 so apply, very little pressure when pulling the thread when you set your chain stich stitch and you will fly through your project so much faster PS every ten stitches or more lock your last ditch before going on.Why you ask ? Because if you loose a chain stitch every bead you applied will pull out as if you never did it.Geat product, great seller.

But it feels like good quality
Came in a big box for this tiny product! But it feels like good quality, my screw worked just fine despite some of these reviews saying their screws were stripped. The needles come in a nice little protective tube that you can store them and others in later. It also comes with the small sheet which explains a little about the history and tells you how to use it. Simple and easy. Thanks!

broke the first time I used it, manufacturer Lacis never responded
Broke the very first time I used it, it worked for fewer than 30 chain stitches. The wood handle broke off from the brass needle grip. I contacted Amazon first, they told me this item isn't eligible for return/replacement and told me to contact the manufacturer. I contacted lacis.com in March 2025, filled out a form and asked for an email so that I could attach a photo. I never heard back. I called Lacis on April 1, explained the situation and asked why I had not heard back. The person told me to contact Amazon. I explained Amazon told me to contact Lacis. The person then said that the person in charge of responding to email queries was "on vacation" and would get back to me when they were back. I still haven't heard anything. I wish there was a way to leave 0 stars.
