I normally start a fire in my wood stove with a small pile of paper and card board. After that starts burning I start adding slightly larger sticks or pieces of wood. After they catch on fire I add bigger and bigger pieces until you can add your logs. The whole process takes about 10 to 15 minutes. You should remember to have 3 piles of kindling ready of different sizes and sufficient quantity before you start. Be patient and BE PREPARED.
