The perfect balance between cost and comfort
The perfect balance between cost and comfort. We tried slightly less expensive models that said "twin size mattress", but they turned out to be "cot-width". This is a full-width twin bed that stores easily and is very stable and comfortable. Normal twin sheets will fit it. The wire mesh is lap welded to the frame, so it is extremely strong and durable (and quiet - no springs to squeak when the sleeper rolls over in the night). There are built-in straps to hold the mattress in place (something we hadn't seen on cheaper models). There is also a brace to lock the "legs" open, so there's no danger of them collapsing if someone sits on the edge of the bed and shifts their weight. The mattress foam is firm, but comfortable - there is absolutely no feeling the wire mesh through the foam. This model is head and shoulders above the ones that sell just just $15-20 less - and it is definitely worth spending that small additional amount to gain the quality. The only model I researched that I thought might be equal in quality and comfort was priced at over $100 more. I definitely found the right unit here. You won't be disappointed. A guest could sleep on this for weeks and never know they weren't in a "regular" bed.

Great folding guest bed!
This bed was pretty much what we needed: something reasonably comfortable for a guest in from out of town for a few days, but compact enough to not take up too much space when not in use. It was easy to assemble, wasn't very heavy (I was able to move it around and assemble it by myself), felt secure and did the job. I like that it's a full 38" wide instead of the standard 31" for cots, so you can use twin sheets without a problem. The mattress is a bit thin, but it's not bad- adding a bit more padding like an eggshell topper isn't a bad idea, but it's not necessary. I felt the center bars a bit when lying down, but my husband, who is 7" taller, didn't, so it might depend on where your hips/ lower back hit for if you feel it or not. It's still way more comfortable than an air mattress and you don't have to worry about it completely deflating by morning. It can hold a reasonable amount of weight- my husband, myself and my large dog sat on it together for at least an hour without issue. Our guest, who slept on it for 5 days, said it was comfy and had no complaints. But, if you're tall (over 6'), it might be a bit short. All in all a good bed for a good price!

amazingly sturdy
This bed is extremely well constructed and well worth its price. It is much wider than the usual narrow foldaway beds, the mattress is high density and very comfortable, with a beautiful zipped cover. The frame is all metal with a metal grid along the underside, unlike the usual canvas sheet or wooden slats. It easily took the weight of 225 lbs man, with ample space to turn and one does not feel the metal at all through the mattress. The mattress is loose but does not slide. It is folded and placed inside after the frame is folded up.The bonus bag is strong and will last if used carefully.Improvements:The design should have included some rollers for easier movement since the whole thing is quite heavy. The mattress should have two tapes to secure it to the frame.A folding headboard would have made it perfect for long use by frequent movers (I used to have one like that many years ago)I'm very happy I bought it. If it develops any problems, I will update... otherwise, this is THE ONE!

Comfortable, Affordable & Space Saving
Comfortable, Affordable & Space Saving!!! I constantly toss and turn during the night , so I needed a good firm mattress, but I didn't want to spend a lot money for one. I checked all around and this bed caught my eye, so I ordered it. It took about two weeks for the bed to arrive. The box was easy to open and the frame and mattress were well packaged. The bed frame was simple to open and the mattress was a breeze to lay over the frame. I let the mattress air out for a couple of hours and then tried it. The mattress was extremely firm and comfortable. I slept on it last night and fell asleep pretty quickly. I normally wake up two or three times during the night, but I slept through the night and woke up feeling rested and relaxed. It has been a while since that has happened , and "wow" what a great feeling that was. So, I Had to share this review. This was a great investment and I highly recommend this bed.

The main reason is because it's not as comfortable with the 4" mattress that many people made me ...
The only reason I give this a 3 is to counteract some of the 5 star reviews, as I definitely don't think it deserves a 5. Maybe a 3.5 or 4. The main reason is because it's not as comfortable with the 4" mattress that many people made me believe from reading the reviews. I even bought a 2" memory gel topper as suggested in a few of the reviews. With the topper it is definitely comfortable enough to sleep on, although I still wish I had gotten the 5" mattress version as it's still a bit firm (I do not like super soft mattresses normally, so it's not that, it's really just a bit on the firm side.) While laying on it I can't feel any of the wire mesh underneath, but it feels like under the mattress is hard, almost as if I had laid the mattress directly on a wood floor. Also, the locking arms for the legs don't clip in tightly to the legs, making them almost useless as a safety mechanism. I will probably be able to make some adjustment to them with some tools, but they really should've come out of the box manufactured better. All that being said, it's still a really good bed for the money. The frame is sturdy and it's way better than an air mattress to sleep on. It didn't take any assembly out of the box, just open the plastic, unfold, and make the bed and it's ready to use. For those of you wavering, get the one that comes with the 5" mattress if you have the extra money, but I for the money this one is good, too. The only reason I went with the 4" mattress this time is because I listened to all the reviews saying how comfortable it was, when in reality for me it is just ok.
