This stuff stinks
Stinks in just the way you want it to. It smells pretty awful, so be careful when dispensing it; you don't want this spilling in your garage. I use a pretty liberal amount mixed with water for my sprayer. We have a ton of rose bushes on the property and deer just eat them up. They also go after our ornamental pepper (Purple Flash) and Phlox plants. This deer repellent works very, very well. Make sure you reapply frequently if the deer are ravenous in your area. Reapply after rain, of course. We reapply frequently when it's really hot outside (south Texas heat). It's dry for months at a time and the deer don't have a great selection of food, so they'll come up into yards and start munching on your frequently-watered plants. Highly recommend!

The deer have finally moved on
Definitely a five star rating. I’m only sendinga snap shot because the video is unbelievableto watch during broad day light. I’ve beendealing with a family of nine deer every day forthe past two months. The deer would sleep inmy back yard then around 4am they would make their way to the front yard to eat my azalea bushes.I ordered a gallon of the repellent and sprayed it everywhere in the front and back yard and there hasn’t been a deer in sight. No more 4am security alarms to wake me up and no more deer. LOL, I did give a one star rating on the scent which is absolutely gross and it doesn’t smell like a bed of roses, but it works!! THANK YOU!!!

Get rid of the deer!!! Seriously works!
I tried everything and this stuff is the ONLY thing that keeps the hungry country deer off my shrubs! They destroyed even the "deer resistant" shrubs until I sprayed this stuff! A little expensive when you buy the pre-mixed ready to use version. Get the concentrate and mix yourself .. way better value for money!

Colorado deer don't mind the scent and still eat the sprayed leaves
We just moved to a very high-deer population area so I'm in the process of figuring out what I can and cannot plant to survive the never ending parade of deer coming through the yard. I bought one bush to plant this fall after a lot of research, as everyone claimed it was deer-resistant, would do well in this area, and it was also labeled as such. And as an extra precaution I bought this spray to use as well. So right when I planted it I used a hand pump sprayer to get all the leaves (tops and bottoms) drenched in the solution. I've attached the photo of what the plant looked like when planted and sprayed, and then 2 days later. The deer clearly still find the plant at least somewhat tasty, as they probably ate about 1/4 of the bush. There was no rain during this period to wash it off (though it does say 24 hours after spraying it won't be washed off by the rain anyways).I sprayed it again on the 3rd day, in case my initial soaking of the plant wasn't enough (though the label says frequent sprayings should only be needed when the plant is putting out new growth, and it is currently fall and the plant has not put out new growth that needed to be sprayed in the last 3 days), and then about 30 or 40 minutes later I was out on the deck with a view of the bush and I watched a family of 3 deer come and hang out by the bush and nibble on it. They spent a long time there, with their noses right in the bush, so the smell clearly doesn't bother them much. I've attached another photo of the deer with her nose right in it right when the smell is most potent (sorry it's not great quality, I was pretty far out on the deck and only had my cell phone to snap it). It's very hard to describe the smell. It's not horrible but it's not pleasant either. Rotting mouthwash would be the best way I could think to describe it. I can't smell it a couple hours after spraying unless I put my face really close to the plant though. So as of right now, I'm giving this 3 stars because for all I know, the shrub might have been eaten completely to the ground already if I had not sprayed it with this, I really don't know. I think it's possible that they take a couple bites each and then decide it's not that great and move on, but as I've only used it on one plant and it's only been a week I cannot say for certain if the spray is helping or if this plant itself just doesn't taste that great to them. I plan on doing more experiments with more plants in the future (ie. getting 2 plants of 1 type and spraying one but not the other) and I will update my review when I can reach more of a true conclusion as to whether or not it makes a difference. For now, all I know for certain is that deer will still come through your yard (which I consider a good thing as we enjoy seeing all the wildlife), it does not actually repel deer at all from the plant/area and they will still eat it at least to some extent.

No deer since using!!
I’ve used frequently for the last year and have remained deer free!! After 3 months at spraying every 2 weeks I was able to slowly decrease how often I spray and now it’s about 1 time a month or so. The deer walk right past my house to get to other homes. I have spread the word to my neighbors and we see very few deer anymore. This has been the best product I have been able to find!!
