does it work on tiny gnats ( no-seems)?

This works amazingly well on mosquitoes, no see-ums, gnats, and even black flies. I use the handheld one in an open jeep, in the woods of Vermont in July-without a single bite from any and all flying biting bugs. I've had several serious reactions from black fly bites and was hospitalized for a week due to one of those reactions from black fly bites, through 100% DEET spray, and cannot afford to be bitten. These cartridge fueled products work. I also use lanterns on my back deck and the hand held ones in my yard. I'm upstate NY and the biting bugs are thick.

Can you use it around food?

How do I use the manufacture warranty? I bought mine in April and one works fine, but the other one constantly goes out after about 30 seconds.
