The bottom edge of the hat has an elasticized string in it so yes to the extent that the string will stretch it is stretchy. It will fit tight around your head and leave and a mark on your forehead. I removed that elastic string on one of the hats and now that hat sets on my head comfortably and no longer leaves any mark.
