In use on a carpeted floor (with 1/2" nap) they slide/glide smoothly. Four days after the balls were installed, and with usual indoor activities (the walker is used by a 90 year old woman as she motors her way between her bedroom and the dining room table three times a day), I inspected the balls and found they had both worn through the nap and slightly through the rubber-like material that the nap is attached to. At this rate of ware they will probably last for no more than a month of daily use.I can not recommend these 'walker balls' based on their cost and limited usable lifetime.

I'm recovering from cancer and I didn't want an old lady's walker so I spiced my walker up with these sexy tiger stripe tennis balls. And I swear I'm faster then the blue hairs trying to race me for the free samples at Costco! I might find some matching tiger striped boxing gloves to use as a blinker to let them know I'm cutting in front of those old cranky hags. I'm also installing a cup holder and a clown horn.

Never again will I order tennis balls to go on the back legs of the walker. They wear out too fast, especially walking outside. I will stick to hard plastic glides.

Pseudo tennis ball glides are popular for walkers, but I found them to be sub-optimal. After about a week of use, the felt is impacted with floor debris. Once a bit of grit gets embedded, it begins to scratch the floor which is precisely what they are supposed to avoid. Now trying regular tennis balls that I cut an X with a utility knife.

Using tennis balls seemed like a good idea but after two days it was completely worn through and most of it was indoor and I only walked perhaps 200 feet outside. Going to give this product in F and switch to something similar that was on there already. These should Be taken off the shelf and not sold. I wish I could get my money back but it’s too late I already wore them out in two days so now it’s going to ruin our wood floors.
