Usable on GMRS out of the box.
I’ve heard bad things about this 30 watt version however they seem to have fixed them. The one I received was tuned spot on for 462.000/467.000 MHz. and could have been put into service as is for any of the 8 GMRS frequency pairs. The rejection was fine throughout. The only reason I re-tuned it was to lower the insertion loss at my desired frequency pair. I now have 15.1 watts in and 13.9 out.

Not terrible (good actually), but not for the non-technical
Had doubts about this before buying but the price was right to experiment. It did not come out of the box tuned as advertised and was actually about 2MHz lower (high and low pass). However, having a solid background in radio and, owning the proper test equipment, the duplexer was easily tuned to where I wanted it.All that said, while I was able to tune it to 80dB of isolation at 5 MHz separation, based on my Spectrum analyzer, suggests this is really made for 10 MHz frequency separation. The low side rejection was very good, but also several hundred KHz wide. The high pass was nominal.I mention the 10 MHz separation because at 5 MHz separation, tuning the rejection notch of the high pass side came at the cost of a couple of dB insertion loss on the low side.Had the frequency separation been 10 MHz, the insertion loss would have been less than 1.5 dB for both the high and low pass. The reject notch is fixed and cannot be adjusted separately from the pass (as expected with this kind of duplexer). Can this duplexer be used on, for example, a GMRS repeater?Absolutely, and it works extremely well for what it is. Is it perfect? hardly, but again for the price, it's decent and totally usable on a low power repeater.I will reiterate again, if you don't have the experience and decent test equipment (i.e. a NanoVNA isn't going to cut it) to tune or even verify the tuning of this duplexer, even at the low price it's not for you.Otherwise, I am pleasantly shocked at the performance of this unit.

Not usable for GMRS Repeater Frequencies
I ordered one of these and paired with 2 20Watt radios, the system was put together and wired with 2 separate antennas. working flawlessly, the range was exactly what i needed. I wanted to use 462.550/467.550 which is the 1st repeater frequency. the first duplexer did not filter, my TX radio would overwhelm my RX radio. remember i already have the system running, the only thing i changed was wanting to use 1 antenna. so i sent it back and ordered another, same issue. sent both back moving on to another product.

Failed immediately
Tuned up great, for a chinese duplexer, then once on site there was no power out. Complete sino crap, like most everything else on Amazon and eBay. I’m getting sick of wasting my time with these worthless items, especially lately. I guess we’re supposed to just put up with it.
