No remote control. This is sonething that could add to the units value since itonly has 1 level of heat output. It doesnt heat an area as large as they claim. Ended up putting in a much smaller room which it is much more suited for.Cannot really mount on a wall and the unit is too short to look right sitting on the floor and I'm only 5 foot tall.The wood casing is very attractive and well made, but again it looks silly on the floor because it is way to small to simulate the look of a fireplace.The unit is nice and quiet but could use more heat output for its size. I have smaller units that work much better in a larger open floor plan.All in all, for the price i paid, this is a nice addition to my home. Wish it was adaptable to mount on the wall also and i expected this to accomodate a larger area than it really does.

Admittedly, I was skeptical as soon as I opened the box. It was full of loose styrofoam pieces which went EVERYWHERE because they are so light weight. And .. they stick to everything. It was obvious it had been repackaged .. and poorly. However, the heater itself is very nice looking and gives off fantastic heat. It is a bit smaller than I had in mind, but I didn't look at measurements - I just looked at the pictures. Since it gives off good heat, I'm going to keep it and ready for the winter months.

i wish i could give this more stars but the problems i had with it are its quite heavy and the back flames are a bit fast there thereis little flame effect on teh logs (excuse my typos im very ill) also the firebox is very shallow ony about 2.5 iinches deep which is a fraction of the depth of the whole unitbut my biggest problem was somehow some of the styrofoam bits got inside the firebox and were very visible so had to fiture out a way to get in to clean it out and lots of dust sawdust i guess inside the glass ont the glase as well as the styro bits but i finally got it clean also there were white parts on both top sides wehre the finish was scrathed off and the top right corner must have been damaged beecause you can see where they used a black marker to cover it up and now tehres a big black marker area! other wist is ok not loud quite but needs a remote and some crackling sound would be nice too btw it was very difficults for me to clean the inside as i am very ill and disabled

It’s cute & small. Good for small spaces. One corner was damaged I didn’t feel like sending it back. The heat is ok it can be felt standing within a few feet from it . I like the flames. It looks nice in the evening.This fire place may take the chill off but won’t heat a mid/large sized room.I have a $20 Walmart heater that produces more heat than this fireplace.

This fireplace has met my needs for size, color, design, and heat output. I live in a small apt. so functionally this unit is adequate for my use. I did add a light coat of stain/sealer to better match the color. On veneer this has limited affect but did manage to meet my needs. On the down side there is no flame adjustment or remote. But it is competitively priced. My final product looks good and with a "crackler" white noise unit this helps the realism significantly. I like the unit.

Firstly, there is no remote, lol. Secondly - I love this little fireplace spaceheater! I did not pay attention to the specs before purchase in that I missed how small it is. It is 22 x 22 x 7.5 basically. My husband is a professional in cabinetry so he will make a bigger cabinet for it. But all in all with all of that said - it is lovely and realistic-looming enough that it doesn't appear cheap. I did notice the price went down $35 right after I purchased, which sucks.

Its nice, but the'res a smell that doesnt go away when the fan is on. wish it had a lower fan heat option as well.the ambience is nice tho. I couldnt get the styrofoam out, so i emailed the company and they said not to touch anything on the inside, when i asked if i should take out the styro foam inserts. i was about to leave them in, but when i asked in here, all the responses i got from people who owned this said to take them out. so i listened to them instead. strange advice from the company. definitely.

Purchased this item for the insert. I wasn’t sure exactly how I was going to make it over when I bought it but I was pleasantly surprised to see how easy it was to remove the insert from the wooden frame. The frame was great quality, I was just going for a different look. The insert works great in my DIY frame and I am in love with how this turned out! Great quality for the price!!

It was...smaller than we thought. Was hoping for taller fireplace. We did find a little nook for it though. Haven't tried the heat yet though.
