Cams good. Alexa as annoying
On the whole I am pleased with this little set up. Alexa is as dim witted as ever. However I like the way she'll display random pics I've stored on some cloud that I wouldn't remember how to retrieve if I tried. I have set this one up in the bedroom so I can view the cameras without having to find my phone or tablet if they're activated whilst I'm in bed. Most annoying thing is getting her to keep the screen switched off. She does (as ever) like to be disobedient and switch it back on even if you've requested she turn it off for 'yadda' amount of hours. This is most noticeable when watching a spot of TV, like a movie in the dark and another little screen starts flashing away in the corner of my eye.As ever Alexa was easy to install. The camera/s were just as simple. So far, (A few weeks) they have worked (mostly) brilliantly. I've had to faff with the settings a little to get them set to my likings. The one at the front door is very handy for viewing deliveries etc. On that note trying to communicate with anyone knocking at the door is tricky to put it lightly. There's quite a few seconds delay between what your viewing/saying and their responses. Disjointed is another polite description..I've put a small homemade rain guard over the rear garden one as I noticed it misted the camera lens when it was foggy overnight once. This is also a minor precaution against frosting over in the harsher months to come. Have to see how effective that is..I do doubt the predicted battery life in these units will stand up to the hype in the sales blah. My camera's both reported higher battery use due to the high activity. High activity? Isn't recording all deliveries and stray cat activities accounted for? If these do prove to be battery munchers I'll have to purchase some rechargeable. I also assume the colder weather conditions will impact the battery life. They don't like the cold. And living in the UK, it's 75% a tad nippy out there.I'll possibly update this at a later date with more battery life updates. Maybe the warnings are just precautionary. So on the whole:-Cameras = good, including the app.Alexa = as annoying as ever. (And the male voice is creepy. I'll stick to the posh Bird). Speaker a little better than the little Alexa I already have. I have this screen type one mounted on one of those wireless phone chargers. Very handy.

Great product
Honestly one of the best purchases I've made and have recommended to family, friends and complete strangers. Good quality footage with sound and easy to use and download to your phone and use alongside other products such as the indoor camera which is great for the dog! A affordable alternative to some set ups which I don't need and couldn't justify having but giving me the added security and reassurance that my house is safe. No subscription fees which makes a huge difference which definitely scares people off and so easy to set up and get notifications of movement straight to your mobile phone. Night vision is decent quality, I have a security light which does assist but if I didn't I'd still be able to identify a face or figure within a reasonable distance. Various options including Sensitivity, which can be changed to pick up literally a fly flying past.

Show 8 is superb, cameras are ok
Bought this as a package of blink camera and the show 8 echo.Lining the show 8 to the blink system is so easy and now I can bring up and view any of my blink cameras just by asking Alexa! The cameras are great during the day and linked to the blink app the functions and settings are many, which is great if you want to set up each camera differently. With 1 blink hub you can set up as many as 10 cameras.Only down side to cameras is the night vision isn't brilliant, namely if the camera picks up bright lights like car headlights...the white balance can't compensate quick enough and therfore the picture whites out! And in total darkness without street lights or external security lighting then forget getting clear recordings etc.Best option is to have a number of cameras at different angles , this way you will probably get a good recording on one of them. The battery life on cameras is according to manufacturers up to 2 years.....well having used the blink systems for a number of years, this is possible but only if you are in a low foot traffic/motion detection area or have the cameras on schedules so that they don't run all the time...that way you can extend the battery health significantly. Also recommend a cover/shroud to protect from false triggers when raining etc. Or reduce the motion sensitivity. If you can buy an extended blink mains cable adapter and hard wire the camera in so it solves the battery problems etc. Oh and only use lithium AA batteries (2 per camera), regular AA batteries are not suitable.Love the echo show 8, love the blink system and its flexibility of use and the app straight to my phone/devices .Would I recommend..definitely.

Great value Cameras
The media could not be loaded. I got these on a REALLY good sale from Amazon to replace an older wifi camera (Kami Wireless) I was debating brands and how much to spend for ages but these were so well priced I figured worth the try.Setup is easy and the cameras seem solid, the brackets are ok and do the job.Range wise they are not bad, my furthest one is maybe 10-15m from the sync module & wifi router and just barely connects but it DOES work! The closer one is much faster as its only about 2-3m away. The motion detection is quite good once positioned well, we have one on the front gate and it captures everything. If going into live view it can take a bit and is a little bit janky but thats not what we got these for. Some points for development is would like a longer cooldown option 60's is too short... and person detection would be great also as we get a lot of cats triggering it.Attached is a video captured before I mounted it in its final place, it was sat on a wall... so could make a nice wildlife camera also.
