Apple MFi Certified 2 in 1 Lightning to Ethernet Adapter for iPhone/iPad/iPod, Supports 100Mbps Ethernet Network with Charge Port, Plug and Play, Supports All iOS

I got this dongle to connect BimmerCode on my phone to the car via the yellow OBD cable I already had. This worked perfectly for coding, at least twice as fast. The ability to power up the connection via separate lightning usb port on the dongle is essential for the setup to work. I just used my car’s lightning output to make it work.

I got this to connect my iPad directly to a Behringer XAir 18 digital mixer. I usually connect the mixer to a router and connect my iPad via wifi. But last weekend the router died in the heat and we had to borrow some equipment for our event. If I'd had this little guy, we could have at least connected the mixer directly to the iPad and gotten through it. VERY cheap insurance.

While this is a great way to use ethernet instead of toxic 5G in your home, you can't really charge your phone with this because all cords fall out of the charging port so the connection for charging it at best, intermittent. I work by phone so its a big disappointment and work is interrupted by the need to charge my phone.The design is cheap but before I knew that, I bought 5 for my household and the tip of one already broke off leaving one of them completely useless within the first few days of having it.I wouldn't buy this brand again and would look for something higher quality that will last and allow me to charge my phone and still use the ethernet cable. Overall, I'm completely frustrated and dissatisfied with this purchase. You win some and you lose some and with this product, It's a loss for me.

Nice to have when working. Easily connect I phone so I can trace connections without having to connect laptop every time I need to check for IP address. Works great!

I mean this adapter technically works. I tested internet speeds on the same phone using the same speed test in the same spot (see photos).I’m not seeing faster Ethernet speeds than wifi though. So I’m knocking off a star for that. But it does technically work, and it’ll be useful for why I purchased it, so that’s cool.

Breaks fast.

I can’t say anything about the product. I returned it just because I ordered the wrong thing.
