Not good quality.
I'm actually persian and make a lot of rice, this rice is pretty strange, as soon as you add water it crumples. I left it in water overnight so it loses some of its starch. the first try the rice is not fluffy, the way that we like it with persian food but it is kind of sticky and too fat instead of long.

Shopping for food during a pandemic is ... different?
I became interested in Indian cuisine a year or so ago and did most of my shopping at a local family-owned (LOVELY family!) specialty store. With Covid-19 (I'm very high risk), I'm doing whatever I need to do to stay safe, so I've been acquiring food differently than I ever imagined.I really like "real" basmati rice and was out, so I tried Amazon. Yes, it's more expensive than the local store, but services cost money. Getting stuff delivered from the supermarket costs more too. It's just how it is. Hopefully, none of us will have to live through another pandemic in our lifetimes!ANYway...I tried this rice and was blown away by the fragrance when I opened the bag- it was WONDERFUL! It cooks up well, too (I don't soak it, but I do rinse it until the water runs clear). And if I wasn't a complete klutz and always dropping things, I wouldn't be buying it again quite so soon!

Delicious!!! Highly Recommend!!!
This Aahu Barah Basmati Rice is delicious and amazingly flavorful. We use an Aroma Rice Cooker similar to this one ( Aroma Housewares 20 Cup Cooked (10 cup uncooked) Digital Rice Cooker, Slow Cooker, Food Steamer, SS Exterior (ARC-150SB) ) and the rice cooks up perfectly in about 20-30 minutes. To end up with about 4 cups of cooked rice, we put 2 cups of uncooked rice and 3 cups of water into the rice cooker. Prior to starting the rice cooker, I would also recommend adding a dash of salt, olive oil, and saffron to taste. This saffron is the best we've found ( Mehr Saffron, Premium All Red Saffron / 0.18 Oz (5 Gram) ). This Aahu Barah Basmati rice is definitely a 5-star product and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. That being said, this rice is probably available at a cheaper price if you can find a local store that carries it. We have been unable to find it anywhere locally and don't mind paying the premium to have it delivered.

Perfectly fluffy, spectacularly long and lovely.
Perfection! Fluffy, spectacularly long, and wonderfully fragrant. Was looking for an upgrade and found a knockout; a keeper; a must buy. My cooking process was simple. I soaked the rice for two hours as recommended on the bag, rinsed, then added to a large pot with tight fitting lid. I poured boiling water over the rice, then quickly brought to a boil, covered, reduced the heat, cooked for 15 min, then switched off the heat and continued to steam, covered, for an additional 5 minutes. When I lifted the lid a symphony played ... it was that good. Luxurious. Hands down the best rice we've ever eaten. Try some! :)

Best Basmati!
The best imported basmati rice I have discovered. The grains are fluffy and flavourful - It is important to follow directions on package for perfect results - rice needs to be well rinsed in cold water, and then soaked prior to cooking. A small pinch of saffron enhances result. Highly recommend!
