Great Bundled Value - Easy To Get Started
This a great value. Being new to action style cameras, this is a great jumping off point. I tend to be hard on gear however, this has a solid protective housing for underwater use that I will use to protect the camera from me. I haven’t listened to the audio much, what I have heard hasn’t impressed me, but that’s not what I have purchased this for. I will replace all audio in important projects. It’s easy enough to capture the audio on a superior device and sync it Final Cut. This little thing shoots decent footage, there is some distortion on the sides but that’s expected with the wide angle lens which is fine for my purposes and it ships with a ton of mounting gadgets to get you started. Helmet mount, clip, cold shoe mount etc. you can’t beat the current price.

Works as advertised
Good action cam but with a few caveatsI've been using the Action Cam for a few months now, and I've been mostly happy with it. It's a great little camera for capturing action shots, and it's very durable. I've taken it hiking, biking, and even skiing, and it's held up well. However, there are a few things I don't like about the Action Cam. First, the battery life is not great. I can only get about an hour of recording time on a single charge. Second, the image quality is not as good as I was hoping for. The videos are a bit grainy, especially in low-light conditions.Overall, I would recommend the Action Cam to anyone who is looking for a durable and affordable action camera. However, if you are looking for the best image quality, you may want to consider a different camera.Pros:* Durable* Affordable* Good video stabilization* Easy to useCons:* Short battery life* Not the best image quality* No touchscreenHere are some additional things to keep in mind:* The Action Cam is not waterproof.* The Action Cam does not come with a memory card.* The Action Cam uses a proprietary battery that can be expensive to replace.Overall, I would give the Action Cam a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.

A quality action camera featuring video and still shots
This is my second Akaso Brave 4 camera. The first one lasted 5 years and successfully went on more than a dozen scuba diving trips around the world. Took it down to as much as 100 feet without any problem (inside the waterproof housing). The first one finally stopped working this last fall.I got the new Akaso Brave 4 Pro as a replacement and it arrived early this year. It has several new features including an underwater mode to help with the loss of color when diving, a set of four digital magnifications (field of view settings, like zoom) and image stabilization. It has already gone to Antarctica and where I used it to shoot video of wildlife (penguins) and underwater (with housing) at a shipwreck. It is working fine so far. The controls have been updated and become even simpler due to the forward facing second display that removes one of the legacy Brave 4 buttons. I really like this camera which is why I bought a second one. And did I mention that I believe it is economical compared to other cameras with similar features. So why only 4 stars overall? You need to change or recharge the battery after each use - expected and simple (I carry multiple batteries so that I do not have to wait for recharging). But each time you remove and reinstall the battery, the date/time resets to factory and you have to go into the settings and change it back to the current date/time. If they would resolve this one annoyance, then it would get a full 5 stars overall from me.

Great cost-benefit action camera
I have tried this camera just a few times, but it works as expected. Great video quality and all the additional things that come with the camera improves the user experience. I'll keep testing it.

Akaso Brave 4 Pro is a sweet video recorder / camera for action travel
Bought the Brave 4 Pro for our 2024 Galapagos sailing trip. Overall I was very impressed with its capabilities and price point (compared with GoPro). There is a small learning curve to navigate and control settings.Captured snorkeling video with and without the Dive filter (better with filter on) and with the optional floating mount. Also took video and photos on island outings using the 360degree clip to backpack strap. And yes, an accessories kit is pretty much needed. This Brave 4 Pro did not come with an SD memory card. I purchased a 128GB high speed (U3) Scandisk only to learn that the max memory size supported is 64GB. The 128GB does work in the Brave 4 Pro, but I suspect it only uses the first 64GB. Also learned from the instructions that video is shot in 4GB blocks. These memory facts were not mentioned anywhere in the Amazon description of the product.Used the WIFI mode to view videos/photos on an iPad using the Akaso GO app. It worked fine, but the app is geared for the iPhone and does not take advantage of the larger iPad screen size. I did not download videos/photos to the iPad (not enough memory). Also purchased a 1T SSD drive to offload from the Brave 4 Pro. This path requires a PC. It would be nice if the Brave 4 Pro could write to an external SSD drive directly.Likes:* Small size.* Lower price point.* 170degree adjustable viewing angle.* Operating battery time > 1hour.* Really nice video and photo quality.Dislikes:* None found to date (have not tried all the features like electronic image stabilization and time lapse).Surprises:* Max SD storage size is 64GB.* Video is taken in up to 4GB chunks.
